I got this one and HATED it. I was actually afraid that it was going to damage my phone. Very, very hard to put on and remove.

Today I bought the Griffin Reveal. It's just what I was looking for.

Isn't that what you want in a case, a very snug fit? How often do you take it off? I may take my case off once a month if that.

There is a big difference between snug and "I'm afraid forcing the phone into the case is going to break something."

I bought this one, but it hasn't arrived yet. I paid $4.95 for it a week ago.

I got in on this when it was $5 too ...snagged a couple $5 bumpers and the Up-Tempo combo.
I'm very happy with it, so is my husband. Nice snug fit.
I slipped it in the top and then down the left side, then worked the right side in.. Almost pops in.
I did take it out and put it in again...just to see, and no, it's not easy, but its not impossible either and I don't think your phone would be damaged while installing or removing this case.
They've gone up to $10 now.

Might get a Rokform V3 case when they become available they're nice. Might get the gun metal and black. Here's a link for those interested

I really want this case, but I can't do it with the big hole in the back. The aluminum is way too soft and would get destroyed because of that hole. Wish they would close it up or allows a back screen protector. I'm still waiting for a decent case. I'm either going to go with the Lifeproof or I'm leaning toward the Taktik, but that doesn't come out for a couple months.

Good point, I may look into others.

I bought the Speck/Burton FabShell in Black/Grey/Cream at Best Buy and I really do like it a lot. I was going to get a Candy Shell but when I saw this I liked it a lot better.

I have the Belkin Grip Max on my iPhone 5 now, purchased that and the grip candy sheer until my life proof comes. Not getting another case.

In regards to all the cases that everyone has spoken about, I find them all too...boring for my taste. I had quite the collection of "quirky" cases, prior to purchasing the Book Book. (which I can now start all over again because of the phone's new form factor and the wait.) Do you cycle between one-to two cases on the regular or...dare I say it...keep just ONE on all the time? I'd go CRAZY.
Until the Book Book is released, I'll switch cases as many times as I can--but once it's released it's back to "ol' faithful" only becasue I hate carrying both a wallet AND my phone. I've purchased little $5 and $10 cases which I picked up from the street or wholesale vendors in Manhattan--they seem to get them before ANYONE else--all kinds.

anyone willing to comment on how well the buttons work on their cases. when i went through all the cases at best buy, all the ones i like in terms of their profile had horrible button dynamics if you want to use the volume button as a shutter release on the camera. i liked the incase slider, but i found that even though one could just use the native buttons, for whatever reasons (maybe my fingers are too big and clumsy), i found it awkward to get my finger into the opening to easily fire the shutter.

i settled on the speck candyshell. i don't like the bottom cutout and it's a little thicker than the other ones i liked better profile-wise, but it has great button dynamics.

i'll live with this for now, but i'll be on the lookout for the "ultimate case" that satisfies my needs:

- thin profile but with a small lip on the front to offer modest protection
- good button access or replacement button dynamics
- good headphone jack access (candyshell doesn't allow me to use headphones with an "L connector")
- doesn't look bad from it's own scratches (liked the reveal but worried the clear plastic would get scratched easily and look horrible in time)

I bought an Otter Box Defender for my iPhone 5 last friday and I couldn't be more pleased. All of the buttons work perfectly and there are no issues to date. While the Otter Box might be on the clunky side, it should last for the life of the phone. I had bought several thinner cases for my iPhone 3 and 4 and they all cracked or split within nine months.

Received this case today and it's great! Adds very little bulk, covers the corners, everything lines up perfectly, and all the buttons work like they should. Fits the phone very snug. Like others have said, it is kind of tough to get off but it's well worth it in my opinion. It's basically a slim bumper with a hard shell backing. Seems to be very well made, not cheap. Time will tell though. I would highly recommend it!
