I guess i'll pick up the commuter then, The IP4/4S defender was thick i was hoping with the thinner phone it would a little more pocketable. I hate dealing with screen protectors.

According to some people including the at&t sales rep it is thinner and more pocketable compared to previous ip versions. If you ask me, its way bulky. Must add like a 1/2 inch to the iphone's thinness.

That's pretty much the only reason I went with the Defender. I'd much rather just use their screen protector than bother with installing one and dealing with bubbles/not being on straight/etc

If there was some way to make a Commuter with a built in screen protector, I'd be all over it.

I'm more concerned with the back aluminum part being scratched up than the front glass. If I do get that tpu case, I might also pass by one of those mall kiosk and have them apply the ghost armor screen protector thing or similar for me. I'm sure they would do a better job than me.

I think I am going to try out the defender and see how awkward it is in my pocket. If I don't like it I will return it for the commuter and have the guy at the Sprint Store put on the screen protector.

I can never get the screen protectors right. The otterbox are pretty easy though compared to the water based.

I bought two cases so far, The CaseCrown Lux glider,

http://www.casecrown.com/iphone-5/glider/case-black-obsidian

That case came today so I'm using it now.

I also ordered a smart case from one of my favorite companies, Waterfield Designs:

http://www.sfbags.com/products/iphone-cases/smartcase-iphone.php

Those cases do not ship til October 5th, but I love their products and highly recommend them.

I was thinking of getting the same one until I saw this: http://www.dodocase.com/products/wallet-for-iphone-5

Now I can't decide.

Well I have heard good things about dodocase as well, but I can personally speak to the quality of Waterfield. I own a Muzetto bag from them for my Macbook Air, and it is the finest quality bag I've ever owned. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is superb. Good luck with your search for the perfect case!

I think as long as its grippy, I'm okay with that. I need the ability to set my phone at an angle, proped up against something for viewing.

Mind posting a few pics?

I'll take some when I get a chance. Lighting in my place sucks so I need to get my DSLR out.

The rim isn't really grippy at all, though. It slides along my wood desk with almost no resistance. I don't think it'd work well for propping the phone up.

i know theyre not out yet, but what does everyone think of lifeproof? better or worse than otterbox?

I bought two OtterBox defenders for my phones, they work well with no issues. They are a tad bulky, but they do fit in your pocket. I plan on ordering LifeCases as soon as they are available. I had the LifeCases on my 4s's, great protection, very light and very slim. I have dropped my phones too many times to count with no damage at all in a LifeCase, the wife even dropped hers off the dock with no water damage (thank god it's shallow under the dock so I could retrieve it).

I got the SwitchEasy Nude clear case. Its pretty nice. Ultra thin, comes with two front screen protectors and a back one too. Those are pretty good and will hold me over until Power Support comes out with their's, but as for the case itself, it is really, really thin. The only negative is that there really isn't a "lip" on the front. So if you set your phone face down on a table, the screen will touch. Otherwise, the case itself looks and feels great.

Got the incipio feather from the store on launch day. It was $29.99 and he gave it to me for $11.99. I didn't complain.

I like the size, light weight and thinness. I might just carbon fiber it and no use a case at all

For those who don't want to cover the gorgeous phone 5 with a form fitting case but could use a pouch/slipcase at times, try the Cellet Bergamo Case designed for the 4/4S. $6, leather (bonded), soft interior, vertical with a low profile belt clip, so it can fit in some pockets without being too bulky. IPhone 5 protrudes about .5 inch which is fine for me for quickly taking it out. Little loose fitting because of the thinness of the 5 vs 4/4S, but again that makes it easy to take out of the pouch in a hurry. Great purchase...

went to Apple store for the IP5 bumper case and was told not in stock....

I ordered an otterbox online but it shouldn't be coming for at least a week or two. Right now I am using the Belkin Candy Grip but I feel like it's not protective enough for me. I was going to buy the black otterbox defender to hold me over until the other one comes but they are all sold out. I can't find it anywhere!
