Why on Earth would you buy the phone without an official response from Apple as to the reception problems? While I am 70% sure that Apple will acknowledge and fix the problem, you are actually gonna bet $300 and 2 years service agreement on it?

bc i sold my 3gs and hate using this lg flipphone with no keyboard. it takes eternity to send a ********** textt message.

I'll be at the ATT store off Tilghman in Allentown, PA. Anyone else going to be there?? I don't plan on camping out, there's atleast 3 other stores in the area so I figure it shouldn't be too hectic tomorrow, but ya never know.

I am still deciding between Atown or Reading. I might go to reading instead though. I think Atown will have bigger lines. haha. I called up and was like hope there isn't long lines. She laughed and said good luck with that. haha.

It would be funny if there was a bunch of people camping to return their iPhone! :D

That's essentially what will happen when the White iPhone comes out. All those who want white but bought black cause they couldn't wait will want to exchange.

I haven't called my local att store yet (wichita ks). I'm on a 'priority list for a couple apple stores in OK and one in KC. I didn't do that until late sat night so I'm sure i'm pretty low on their list. I am hoping to go by b/4 work and get a ticket so I can come back after work if not, i'll just continue to wait. My wife is hoping that one becomes available in OKC or KC so while I get the phone she can do some shopping.

so i cant go by myself and upgrade our account..
I'm trying to get two phones, one for my wife, one for me. They said she needs to be there to upgrade.
Sucky thing is that we wouldnt be able to go super early because of our kids.

I called one of my local att stores but it went to answering machine. I noticed it wasn't an att owned store so I don't think they will have the phone tomorrow and are tired of talking about it. When I called another one she said they will have an initial stock and when they run out they will hand out tickets for a shipment they expect to receive later in the day. When I asked will I be able to get a ticket before they run out she said "no"

I guess I hope they get in a lot and maybe I'll be able to pick up one somewhere after work, otherwise I'll wait for a call from apple store or radio shack.

I'm in Boston so I'm hoping that one of the many AT&T stores will have them in stock so I can get it after work tomorrow. Can't camp. I have work in the morning.

Sidenote: Does anyone know when Apple receives new shipments of iPhones?

I'd really like to buy it this week if AT&T proves fruitless.

Feel bad for you man. Not a damn Apple store in MA has an iPhone 4 right now. Its a shame.

I was planning on getting to the At&t store early tomorrow, BUT I called Walmart around 2pm today and they had "several" iPhones in stock! I couldn't believe it. I jumped in my car and 45 minutes later I was the proud owner of the iPhone 4. I just wanted to let you guys know so hopefully you can get lucky like I did.

I came from a Droid and I am very happy so far...

Which Walmart?

Tell me about it. I've been asked by my coworkers everyday since Thursday if I've gotten a new iPhone yet.

16 or 32? I can find a few 16s here & there in my area but no 32s. I could of gotten a 16 from BB on launch day when they called me with the bad news. I told the person I'll stick with 32 & have been looking for one ever since.

I too want a 32 GB. Even if I wanted 16 I'd still be out of luck. Called about 5 Wal Marts that are within 20 miles of my house and not a single one of them is even carrying the iPhone 4. Same thing for Radio Shack. Closest Apple store is 2 hours away (Greensboro and Richmond), but I am on the priority list at those stores. Still, the only place to get an iPhone in my city is Best Buy and AT&T.. so really, only chance of getting one soon is at AT&T tomorrow.. therefore I'm leaving shortly to meet up with my buddy for some beers before we head over to camp all night.

Call your local AT&T store and double-check what you were told. She can add you as an "authorized user" on her account. By doing this, you would be able to make any changes (including upgrades) without her being there. You can be added as an "authorized user" several ways: calling AT&T customer service, going to a local AT&T store, or online at wirelesss.att.com. Hope this helps, and good luck on getting your new iPhone.

+1

I'm on a family plan with my parents. My dad is the account holder, but they made me an authorized user early on as I'm (almost) 24 now. I'm just on their plan to save myself some money. But I checked and I'm good to be there alone and upgrade.

Won't be camping out (did that on launch day, 9 hours on the no-reserve to no avail) but will probably hit the AT&T store early in the AM. My hubby already ordered 2 phones (due in mid July) so if we don't have any luck tomorrow we'll just wait. :)

I know BB told me that I can't get a 16 & upgrade to a 32 when it comes in. She said it wouldn't be fair to all the people that wanted a 16 & won't be able to get one that day because I did this. I'm not sure of AT&T's policy on this but I hope they don't allow it. I believe Apple is letting people though.

I don't plan on camping out either, just going to head there around the afternoon. I should be able to get one since my town is relatively small and considering the same store had iPhone's well in to the afternoon on launch day.

I at some point tomorrow plan to visit my AT&T store because my pre-order just arrived in the store today. I'm happy it finally made it with good timing because today I am just driving home from vacation.

My store opens normally at 9am. I don't know if any stores are doing an early opening just for the in store day.

I want to get to the store like at 8am just so I can avoid having to wait too long for all the other people getting their phones. Since my phone is guaranteed, it's no big deal if I don't get it. I have somewhere else I need to be at 11am.

I dislike my phone arrives the same day that everyone else who didn't pre order can get one. :(

I'm in PA too ;o. I was waiting for weeks for June 24th to come around, then it changed to June 29th. I was going to camp out at 6 p.m. @ the ATT store. However, I decided to go to the Apple store on June 25th and low and behold they had plenty of iPhones with only 20-30 people in line. Got two of them :O

The point of the story? Your local apple store probably has iPhones available. It doesn't hurt to give them a call and check if you haven't already!

The Raleigh-Durham, NC area has two Apple stores which haven't received any new shipments since launch. Best Buy, Radio Shack and Wal-Mart are also out of stock.

I've been with AT&T for over four years and have no desire to switch networks. On the off chance that the issue is due to a defective batch, the ones coming to AT&T may have no issues at all.
