The phone is a tool. Use it for what it does. If you're bored doing the things it does, then find other things to do. Like go outside, ride a bike, play sports. Get a girlfriend. ETC.

I'm not bored, but simply irritated that Apple will probably take another year to finally build one with a 4.3" screen (maybe).

If one does the math, you'll learn why it's become the predominant screen size in the Android series. 4.3" is exactly 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Therefore it's perfect for movies and video's.

However Apples a very ego centric company. Since Android has it, Apples afraid to follow. It's been proven for years & years that if Apples not the first, or if they can't fool people into thinking they were, they won't do it.

No, Apple keeps the same screen ratio across products for consistency. If you develop an app for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 (retina) or the ipad, each screen has the same exact ratio making the user experience much easier to control and you don't need to redesign your interface for each screen, but simply use higher/lower resolution images. This is why Apple doesn't want to change the screen size.

In the Android world you have many different screen sizes and app development can be a pain due to the large variety of different screen sizes and resolutions. It's just one the many reasons developers enjoy creating iOS apps over android apps. Development is simply easier/faster for iOS and for many reasons beyond just the screen size! Try using the Android emulator. It's about as fast as molasses!

But the bad news is I know Apple.

It's not gonna happen for iPhone 5. Sad but true. Apple knows they will sell whatever they build. It doesn't matter, Apples a religion to the masses.

Yes, a company that has long developed good products can often count on their historical record of success to sell new products, but bad new products can hurt them as well. Look how much heat they got over the "antennaGate" -- an issue that nearly all smart phones had and didn't effect most people when held naturally.

Personally, I think the iPhone4 form factor is great so I was happy to see it stay the same. The alleged iPhone 5 "tear drop" design with edge to edge screen that was thought to be the new phone always seemed weird to me. Not that I couldn't get used to it...
