Both my Nexus-One and now my Nexus-S 4G do all five of those things perfectly, my Nexus-S never crashes or freezes, this is hands down the fastest, smoothest, and most stable phone I have ever owned.

The Nexus-Prime will blow your socks off, will have a better than retina display with the crazy high resolution HD Super AMOLED screen, plus the colors on Samsung's Super AMOLED screens are jaw dropping beautiful. Add to that the brand new next generation Android 4.0 "Ice Cream" release, it is supposed to be the biggest update to Android in it's history.

Yet it can't sync with my corporate database program, like my iPhone
Yet it can't sync with Omnifocus on my Mac, like my iPhone
Yet it can't sync with MS OneNote, like my iPhone

I can do this all day

I'm Mac through and through love the dam things don't get me wrong...iPod, iMac, iPad, iPhone i've got the lot but I must say I have been looking @ other phone options just recently

Maybe I'm getting itchy feet waiting for the iPhone 5 but how different is it *really* going to be over the 4 or 3GS? Same OS with tweaks here and there, probably still the best out but having owned an iPhone for many years now it's beginning to lose it's 'cool' factor in my eyes

Anyone else feeling the same? Considered ditching the platform for a year for maybe something else?

Nope. I love my iPhone 3GS and have no desire to even look at any phone that doesn't start with an i.;)

Yes. Which is why my iP4 is shelved (until i5) and my current daily driver is this;

HP-Pre-3-Cell-Phone.jpg

...and i'm really enjoying it.

I know that feeling. When the iphone 4 came out I had an Iphone 3GS. I wanted to try something new, so instead of going for the 4 I bought a Samsung Galaxy S.
It didn't even last me one month, I sold the SGS and bought a 3GS again. Have I not experimented, I could've afforded an iPhone 4 :) But thats life, sometimes you make a bad choice and you have to live with it.
Now I'm really anxious for the iPhone 5. But I no longer feel the need to try Android or even Windows 7. I've done that already, and it was a disappointing choice.

When it comes to PCs, I actually prefer Windows 7 (being a gamer and all). So I'm not really what you would call an apple fanboy. But when it comes to phones and tablets - iOS is the best for me personally.
I know there are some guys out there who like to play with and tweak their phones 24/7 and I can understand why they would prefer Android.

Being bored with iPhone and wanting to change to another phone is like Megan Fox's partner saying he is bored of Megan and wants to be with Susan Boyle

Haha One of the best replies by far :D

In a word. Yes. It's the same old stuff. I want something new.

And that something looks to be the Samsung Galaxy S2.

You never know something revolutionary like cut and paste may stop us from changing  haha!

Joking aside some people get where I'm coming from though. We've had the iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4 but essentially they are all very much the same...

I'm just hoping they really hit the ball out of the park with the 5 , I have no idea what but I want it to have that wow factor again. The 4 doesn't do that for me and wasn't worth the upgrade from the 3GS

No it won't.

will have a better than retina display with the crazy high resolution HD Super AMOLED screen
So what? The whole point of "retina" is that the dot pitch is such that you cannot distinguish them, so you go have your "better than retina" display that people are unable to appreciate.

plus the colors on Samsung's Super AMOLED screens are jaw dropping beautiful.
Jaw droppingly inaccurate, yes.

Add to that the brand new next generation Android 4.0 "Ice Cream" release, it is supposed to be the biggest update to Android in it's history.
"Supposed to be"...in other words, you have no clue whatsoever.

Your arguments above are so unconvincing. Wanna' try again?

So tell me, apart from the physical design differences (which iPhone has too), and the "skins" that some operators put over Android (which iPhone thankfully does not have), how are all of the Android phones much different? They are essentially all very much the same, just from different providers, and hence build qualities.

The iPhone 5 could be the greatest iPhone ever, or it could be the greatest let down.

Those wanting the greatest phone ever will be let down. Those just expecting updated iPhone hardware running iOS 5 will be more than happy I'm sure.

You buy a phone because you think it's cool? There is your major issue right there. Most people buy phones because it's the best fit for their needs. Now if it's also "cool" then that's a bonus.

You really just should of added this post on with one of the 20 other threads just like this one. IF you don't want the iPhone any more then move on, no need to let the world know you're thinking about it. You don't need our approval to make the move, just do it and get on with your life.

I see post after post of people complaining about this and that related to iPhone and iOS...... if iPhone isn't what you want in a phone then make a change.

What a negative person you are.

Well I'm not bored with it. I mean a new app, a new game and it feels new again. That being said I am very excited about getting the latest and greatest when the finally decide to release the 5.

Consider yourself lucky. I have a Nexus S 4G and it blows. It lags constantly, typing on it is a nightmare, and the battery dies by 1 PM.

I think it is a case of people just not being "wowed" by today's smart phones because they have been out for a few years now. Sure they are always adding new feature, but the transition from the cell phone to the smart phone was what made it so exciting.
When the iPhone 5 comes out, it have some new features, and maybe a bigger screen, but the "wow" factor will be nothing compared to what it was like going from a regular cell phone to the first "iPhone" .

Just my opinion.

No, I'm not bored of the iPhone. I am anxiously awaiting the release of iOS 5 though. I decided to un-jailbreak my phone since it will likely be a while before iOS 5 is jailbroken (especially untethered), so I decided to go back to stock to get used to it again. So I'm a bit bored with the stock iOS installation at the moment, but it's still a wonderful OS and phone.

I personaly dislike the AMOLED screens. Its like an overly tuned TV with contrast set on full.

The Retina display on the other hand is "Jaw dropping beautiful".

Yes, and everytime I try and android I see how much laggier (IMO) the OS is and I go back to my iphone with its faster UI. Or i try a blackberry, its fine at first and I love how fast I can communicate with people but eventually it just doesnt do all the things my iphone does so I go back.

@ People not approving an iPhone: don't waste your time here. This place is not for you, and not because the iPhone is the best phone in the market -- it's because of the people visiting it. ;)

I'll agree that the text is "jaw dropping" crisper and sharp looking, but I honestly can't tell much of a difference everywhere else in the OS between the 4 and my 3GS.

...but wait until you see Apple's new 4" "Ocular" display. Amazing!

I'm bored with it a little. The GUI is really stale. I need my iPhone jailbroken so I can play with it.

Love the design of the iPhone 4. The look and feel is super luxurious. I'll never tire of that. Although, I am itching for a larger screen.

I'm not bored, however I would like to see something better in the IPHONE5
as i'm sure most of us would.
For those that are bored, IOS5 will must likely add some new spunk and intrique.

I get a little bored with it, but I'd rather having everything working as I am already used to. That's why I haven't really switched. Android is interesting, but there's a lot I wouldn't be able to do.

try texting girls, you'll never be bored of it

No it does not bore me. It does everything I want it to do and perfectly well in the process.

Android bored me eventually (before my iPhone I had a G1 then a Nexus One) I just prefer the sheer number of apps to explore on iOS so it makes it impossible to get bored with.

I know it's getting better and better on Android but I dont regret making the switch to my first iPhone. There are a couple of things I miss on Android (mostly Swype and notifications) so I'm actually glad that Apple has copied Androids notification system haha.
