If Apple has taught me anything, it's to always expect disappointment from their keynotes.

He only one where Apple over delivered was when Job introduced Airport, 23" HD, and a ton of other stuff...changed everything. We know everything they are going to release now.

I want to see a keynote that absolutely blows everyone's minds when the leaks are the complete opposite at the keynote. :D

iPhone events (especially the years in which I don't upgrade, like this one) aren't as exciting as WWDC because everything gets leaked. It'll be fun to upgrade to the GM, (but not terribly exciting as I'm running b6, and I don't expect any new features) but the Mac/iPad stuff later in October should be better as it'll be more of a surprise.

Interested - yes

Excited - no

The chances of something exciting and new ... highly unlikely. Even if there is, it will be reported on ad nauseam :)

Slightly curious perhaps. There's nothing exciting about an S model, especially when its already been leaked. Also, I remain indifferent to iOS 7.

I'm mainly interested in an Apple TV software update and a possible Mavericks release date.

Im just looking forward to the GM, thats it lol! I want to download the last phase onto my phone :p

The announcements themselves interest me, but don't particularly excite me.

The day I have a new tech toy on the way, then I'll be as bad as a kid at Christmas.

I'll likely jailbreak my 5 later and sell off my 4S.

I'm with you on this. I'm waiting for it to leak so I can download it. I haven't really messed with the betas so it should be that much better experiencing it and learning all the features.

In regards to iPhone 5S, I'm not upgrading unless the camera is leaps and bounds better than the 5.

Tuesday will be a nonproductive day for me at work. :apple:

I'm looking forward to the event considering my iPhone 4 just met its untimely demise *hehehehe* ;)

I'm excited but I know I'll be disappointed, I hate the look of iOS 7, Can't afford the iPhone 5S and even if I could, why would I get it? I don't want to be obliged to use iOS 7. The iPhone 5C is ugly...

I can honestly say Apple has never ever disappointed me once after a major keynote. I'm always left buzzing with excitement by the announcements, the possibilities, and the direction the company is moving forward. And the new products are always amazing best of breed devices.

You really could think ahead for all of these BEFORE the major keynotes... With all the leaks, there is absolute nothing to get excited...

You're what we call a fanboy. Your love for Apple blinds you

Really? Apple has NEVER disappointed you?

I've gotta say the 4s keynote was an unmitigated disaster for me.

Here I was back in 2011 anxiously awaiting the new iPhone thinking Apple might push the envelope and take care of its customers and instead we get:
1) unpolished beta software (siri)
2) a tiny bump in real world speed
3) 3 more megapixels to the camera

If you can't tell I'm still bitter about this one :(

Leaks mean nothing. Nothing is confirmed until the keynote speech. The keynote is where we see the whole story put together. We get demonstrations of the incredible new technologies, devices and hardware and software all working together seamlessly. I feel sorry for anyone who can't get excited by these blockbuster events.

What incredible new technologies were introduced in last say 2 years? In past 3 years, keynotes were nothing but he confirmation about rumours. All those rumours were pretty much true. Take iPad min rumour, take iOS 7 rumours, take iPad retina display rumour....etc.

I've wondered myself. After the iOS stuff, what really could be next?

What could the next big thing be?

Wearables maybe, but to do that right I figure the big thing is this:

True voice recognition, by way of cloud and those massive underused data farms Apple has begun to deploy. Natural language to use computers, a la Star Trek etc.

No body has come even remotely close yet, perhaps it's five or ten years out?

Siri, since it's server side, could be SO much more. Update the jokes and other fun things every week - why not? Things like that.

It's server side anyhow!!
