Anyone else PO'd at the people who were able to pre-order and have a reservation?

If anyone has a reservation for the west county store(that they no longer need), I would greatly appreciate if you would spare it. I got my reservation through, but Now my dad wants and iPhone and will steal it from me if I don't find an extra reservation.
It's not like people who reserved and pre-ordered are stock piling phones. Come close of business on the 24th the phones not picked up will be released. So people who want to camp out can show up on the 25th.
It took me 3 tries before I got my 3G, so I know how frustrating it can be, especially on the second day when the person before me was the last one to be let into the store before they closed.

well, i was going to cancel but if that is the type of gratitude that will be displayed then I may just reconsider.

You're not offering anything to anyone, so the assumption that this is the type of gratitude you're getting is stupid.
.. and.. because I appear to never get tired of saying it, SOME OF US, tried to order at 1:30 - 2 AM, and then again, and then tried the apple app, and tried apple online and AT&T online when they got to work.
After I realized that pre-ordering two phones would be next to impossible given the logjam, I made an in-store reservation. Later during the evening of the 15th, I was able to get two pre-orders in for 32GB iP4's. Being the ethical person I am, I cancelled my reservation immediately. 
My two have shipped and are due to arrive on the 24th.

I clarified my statement. I am not mad at anyone, probably more jealous than anything. I do have a reservation but needed 2. I would have liked to had them shipped directly to me. Just a reminder that if you get your phone, be nice and cancel your reservation or transfer to someone if you do not need it.

well if you read the thread I started before yours titled "should I cancel my reservation", you will see that I already cancelled it when I got shipping confirmation despite being advised by other posters not to do so.
If AT&T effs me and somehow cancels my already "shipped" order then I guess I will be the a$$hole for canceling so someone can get their phone.

Since the reservations are only good for the 24th, I suspect they will have a lot of overstock available on the 25th. Screw the long lines on the 24th and get in line early the next morning and get one of those 'double dip' reservation phones.
If you have shipping confirmation and your phone is in your hands, cancel your reservation if not needed. That is all. I did not see your thread until you mentioned it.
You all tried too hard. I went to the AT&T store at 8:30am. No one in line, so I got myself a smoothie next door to only return at the AT&T store at 8:50 with one person in front of me.
I knew it was going to be hectic online, so like a smart awesome person I am, went to the store. Plain and simple as the stores are allotted a certain amount as well. Brains are useful in these kind of situations. You should use it.
I ended up leaving the store by 9:30 with 3 pre-orders.

I'd be more angry at the people who make two or three preorders/reservations and effectively screwed other people out of phones.
Did you try tracking it on Fedex.com by reference number and putting your phone number and zip in? That's how I found my tracking number while it was still "prepared for shipment"
My understanding was yes from reading other posts. I think you just have to let the Apple store know and show your ID. I am not 100% positive, but other people said that it would work.
I'm curious about this as well.
If my bestbuy reservation comes through, i will drive the 40 minutes to my closest apple store to help a couple people out.

I told the girl that I had reserved in the morning after not being able to get through the pre-order process. Now that I have shipping confirmation, I would like to cancel my reservation so that they can give my reserved phone to someone in line.
She responded with "that's awesome thanks for calling, let me look up your info". She found my reservation and then informed me that she couldn't cancel it.
She said it would just expire at the end of the day when I didn't come to pick it up.
I am sorry for everyone who wasn't able to pre-order. I feel terrible that I will have one sitting with my name on it in the store that is just going to sit there while someone who stands in line for hours will be turned away without one.

heres an idea....if you wanted it that bad you could have just gone to the at&t store first thing in the morning. if you work and wanted the phone that bad then take an early luch break to get it or go in late. i was in and out of the store within 15 minutes......and its coming in on the 24th....
I know it will be crazy, but why not take a visit to the Apple store and give someone the hookup? You'll feel like a million bucks and/or someone's hero, so it'll be a win-win situation. We're Apple users, we think and do things differently for a reason.
I wish the option was to buy and pickup at the store and not just reserve. I think it's pretty selfish and pointless to pre order and reserve.

Anyone here not have a pre-order or reservation in Austin? My reservation is at the domain. I will meet you there and give you mine if someone tells me how to do it.
That is the Apple Store I got my iPhone 3G on launch day back in the day! I moved to CA though, Pittsburgh kind of sucks heh. I still visit though since my parents live there.
