I meant innovation with the smartwatch integration.

The iPhone 6 itself won't be very revolutionary - as you say, there's not much else to be done at the moment.

But if Apple can make an incredible smartwatch with all the best sensors for health and fitness, plus also make it useful when connecting to the iPhone - well that would be quite innovative.

Android smartwatches are a bit basic right now, and even though they will improve soon, Apple does sometimes do some pretty amazing stuff at reinventing "new" categories.

Let's see.
But then Apple would not be innovating as much maybe improving on an existing category.

That's all Apple has ever done. They're INCREDIBLY good at it, but that's Apple's MO: pounce upon a piece of tech that others are working on, streamline it, make it attractive.

Doubt that I would return to Apple with the Iphone 6. Sold my Iphone 5S for the G2 and I am supremely happy with the G2. It would be a real downer to go back to a smaller screen, fixed icons, etc. Boring. The G2 has more features now by a wide margin. The G3 will up the ante.

I'm on an S3 now and am not eligible for an upgrade until July. I was leaning towards the rumored 4.7" iphone 6 but finally got a chance to play with the latest crop of phones - M8/S5/Note3/MotoX. I have to say that now I'm leaning towards the rumored 5.5" IP6. I was way more impressed with the Note 3 than the Note 2 I played with last year. The 1080p screen is gorgeous and the phone felt really snappy. It's the first smartphone I've used that felt totally natural surfing desktop sized web pages. If the 5.5" iphone 6 doesn't materialize I'll probably wait for the Note 4. I was also very impressed with the M8 but I feel like a phablet is in my future :)

As far as Android vs. iOS I think they both have their positives and negatives. The main reason I left the iPhone was Apple's refusal to release one with a bigger screen. I do think iOS still has a slight edge in smoothness in day-to-day use but that gap keeps narrowing.

I'm also very early into my android return with the Samsung S5.

In a month or two, the wrong android-ism, or quirk might appear that might annoy the hell out of me and I'll be back in the house Steve Jobs built.

I have no doubt the iPhone hardware will be good and I could go from the 5.1" screen to a 4.7" screen pretty easily, but software enhancements will be a BIG issue for me.

Meaning if the biggest thing the iOS 8 offers is a "Healthbook" app and dedicated iTunes radio icon then I will probably won't be considering an iPhone 6, and would be more inclined to look at a Nokia Lumia 930 because variety is the spice of life.

I still use a 5s as my daily driver, but have a Note 3 I carry as a tablet. It will be nice to get a ip6 and ditch 2 phones for one. I really really want to try out a windows phone, but having a thin phone means a lot to me and I'm excited about the ip6. The WP phones are just way too chunky and have huge bezels. It seems once again Apple out-hardwared everyone else and will reap the benefits from this.

Battery life on my Nexus 5 is atrocious. I am skeptical of the iPhone 6 having significantly improved battery life because Apple is so obsessed with thinner devices. So it is between the iPhone 6 and the OnePlus One for me.

Considering it even though I'm very happy with my Note 3. I just like changing things up, having the latest and greatest, and I do miss somethings from my old iPhone and iOS.

I was going to temporarily switch back to my 4S just for a change but the wifi is broken since I updated to iOS 7.

I wouldn't switch back to iOS, I love Androids customization way too much and the freedom to install whatever ROM I want and not be tied down to one that came with the phone.

I would prefer to switch back to Apple just to make things easier. I mean I use a Mac, iPad, Apple TV, iTunes, etc. Owning a Galaxy S4 has had its annoyances trying to get things to work back and forth. The only reason why I left the iPhone in the first place was for a bigger screen. I have large hands, I needed a bigger screen. If Apple comes out with a bigger iPhone, I'll likely switch back.

I am the same and swapped for the same reason, don't know if i would go back though with a bigger screen.

If the 4.7" size is the same size as a phone with a 5.1" screen: HELL NO. I can't even imagine what the 5.5" model would look like. Let me guess: 5.5" screen in a body of a phone with a 6"+ screen.

Nope, don't plan to change for quite sometime as my Nexus 5 is more than fast enough and has a good camera. Will last me a while. And I can see the iPhone 6 increasing in price further making the Nexus 5 even better value :)

Even though I am very interested in seeing Apple's new phones, I highly doubt I'd go back. Yes, increased screen size is important, but my Note 3 offers a lot more than that.

I would switch back only if there are no alternatives with screen sizes <5". If the current screen size increase trend is followed, nearly all flagship Android phones would all have screens larger than 5 inches within the next year or two, and I really don't think I could comfortably use a phone that big with one hand. If iPhone 6 comes out with a screen around 4.7" and stick to that, I could see myself going back. The current iPhone 5S screen is simply too small though ;)

New iPhone will be worth a look but doubt it. Still will be too restrictive with no spare battery, sd card, no back button, smaller screen, no s pen.. Will be a great device but I see note 4 being the best phone for my needs

I'm a bit tired too by the lack of customization on the iPhone, but i'm totally in the Apple ecosystem (apple tv, iPad, 2 iPhones, iMac), so i'm a bit afraid of moving to an Android devices...

Plus all of my friend and family use a Apple devices...if i go with an android devices i lost the ability to send iMessage to iPad and iPod...

gifted the iPhone 5s to my wife, be happy with the nexus 5

bought the nexus 5 when it came out -- just to try it and .... it became my "main" phone so I made a gift to my whife - the iPhone 5s, she is happy with it and I love the nexus 5 - there must be an iPhone 6 with a large screen and swipe / swift key keyboard and, if it has a large screen, it must be the same size or smaller than the nexus's 5's - to made me even think about switching back ...

If they gave me the ability to choose default apps and would stop limiting JS speed for non-Safari browsers I would consider it. Having to jailbreak for that is just stupid.

I'll be jumping back from my N5 to the next iPhone.

Purely for the fact that I don't actually do anything worthy enough in the Android ecosystem to stay with it bar on the go podcast downloads. I've done the ROM thing a couple of times, but turns out I'm a simpleton and just prefer a generic default homepage....

I've really enjoyed my time with Android and feel I'm better off for the experience, but with the fiancé having the 5S and an iPad mini, and myself having an iPad 2 (of which will be upgraded to an Air 2 later in the year), I think it's time to get everything under one roof once more.

I forgot how nice it was to be able to swap out default apps. Using a third party SMS app, keyboard, and browser just makes things awesome.

That's the thing. I like a lot of what iOS does, just make it a little more flexible and I'm right back.

I'm attracted by the hardware but the software always stops me in my tracks.

This says so much with so little. :D And...references way too many things in life all at the same time.

Been iPhone since it's original rollout. Jailbroke every version for tweaking the interface, getting to settings quicker, etc. iOS7 killed the interest in iOS for me, and the rumors of the iP6 being more $$$ just isn't worth it anymore.

Bought an LG G2 a couple weeks ago. It turned out to have inferior reception and very lackluster sound, so I traded for an HTC One M8. Truly a well built device, sound is on par (if not better than my iPhones/iPads), it's having respectable battery life, and Android KitKat 4.4.2 is very customizable out of the box. With the option of rooting and all the customizing there....I'm even contemplating a Windoze add on computer in our household as the tools for Windoze are better for rooting (so I've understood so far).

Still won't get rid of 2 other iPhones, and 3 iPads, and several Macs in our household, but my daily driver for a phone is going to be Android for the near future, as I usually keep a phone 2+ years.
