Really want to activate my watch, but I don't see the cellular connectivity being worth $10 a month. Seems excessive.
It has to be asked, why did you get the cellular version that cost more If you don’t want to spend $10 a month and use it ?

Maybe he likes a stainless steel or titanium finish, and those ONLY come in the cellular versions.
So they were able to get mine set up via web chat HOWEVER, the watch now isn’t seen by the phone and can’t pair to it? Not sure which company I should even contact or if I should just change it and unpair and repair it? Or which option I should select when unpairing: keep cellular plan or remove cellular plan?
Basically what I did but I had to also go into the watch itself and erase data since unpairing via the phone app did nothing. Still connected to Verizon’s network though!unpair - keep cellular plan -reboot phone - re-pair watch
Yea if it's bought directly from Apple, you are going to have these issues?not just the store-bought ones but online as well
I'd be ZEROING their survey so hard their metrics will definitely feel in!!!Well that is a complete lie just to get rid of you and not impact the rep's metrics. Again this has happened every year since 2017 and the Series 3 Cellular mode was released. A large number of IMEI / EID number are not in the carrier's system. It is even more frustrating should you want to switch carriers as they will say the same dumb thing.

Maybe wanted a material that is cellular only. That's one thing that annoys me. Why cant people get a nice material without coughing up $100 more and $X/month? I suppose you could just not activate for the second part, but you are still paying an extra $100 for no reason on top of the material upcharge. It has to be asked, why did you get the cellular version that cost more If you don’t want to spend $10 a month and use it ?
I opened my watch today. It asked me to sign into my Verizon account and bam, activated within 10 seconds - good to go. It also was kind enough to let me know that I'd be getting a $30 service fee. lol.
I guess I'm on an old unlimited plan because it said $10 instead of $5 - oh well, someday we'll upgrade to the new one.
Looking forward to utilizing my first LTE watch. S6 is noticeably faster! I added all my Apple Pay cards to it, looking forward to going around without a phone just for the heck of it.
I am going to feel a lot safer with my wife being able to contact me while I'm waddling (running) around. It'll also be nice to call 911 if I see anything too.
I bought the S6 at the apple store. I am on a business plan and the owner of the small business so I have permissions. Anyway, I’m getting this error. I went to the Verizon store and set up the line on their end but can’t get cellular on my watch.. It’s been 2 days since it’s been elevated with Verizon. They can’t seem to figure it out. They have my imei logged into the line. Here’s the message I’m getting. Not sure if this is similar to everyone else.
I just did mine without help of vzw. No issues at all.
