I got the shock proof today. First impressions are it has a great hand feel. The tpu rear isn’t as bad as I had feared. It extends past the camera bump by a hair and the front has a lip that just clears my glass SP. Buttons are on the stiff side, but nothing I can’t deal with. The only complaint I can really think of is the lightning port cut out is not too accomodating. It’s a little too small to take the Anker cable I use in my car. Will try and get pics up once I’m off work.

How about the dragontrail glass?is it good?can u post a pic please?thanks

I’ve found that cleaning the clear case with Plexus and a microfiber cloth (same combination as I use on my motorcycle helmet visors) helps greatly reduce the tendency of the clear case to pick up fingerprints. Works well on screen film as well.

Other things I’ve noticed is the mute switch cut out is tiny and a pain. Also the power button is noticeably smaller than the actual button on the phone- doesn’t seem to affect usability. Case can be difficult to remove.

Dragontrail came in, but sorry no impressions for that yet since I won’t be installing it any time soon.

My favorite case. However, does the iPhone X case protect the screen? Previous AirJackets had a bit of a lip, so you could put it face down and not scratch the screen... This doesn't seem to have any lip.

So i emailed about a refund and they gave me a pretty detailed response to the fitting issue on the X.

“Hello, We are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue with your Air Jacket. There were some sizing issues that affected some iPhone X models. Our engineers have re-tooled the Air Jacket so that it fits uniformly across all iPhone X phones. We expect to have the updated Air Jackets around December 15th and can send you one when we get them. Otherwise, please send the Air Jacket back and we will issue a refund when we receive it. Thank you. Sincerely, Power Support Team“

So if you’re in the market for one wait till then they get the resized ones in.

^ Great to hear. I'm using a replacement right now that fits better than my original, but still is creaky. I'll definitely be emailing them about getting sent a new one.

Ugh just tried my Air Jacket on and it's so bad. Just emailed them. It would be nice if the company was a little more forthcoming and emailed everyone that bought them. There is clearly a fitment issue.

Yes, it is easier to remove. Yes, it is slippery but it looks amazing for the Silver model. The shiny frames look great with the Air Jacket Clear. Think about it this way, without a case the phone is slippery and with the clear case it is less slippery but gives protection and looks great.

There is no lip on these air jackets and that is expected. It is like using a skin but with better protection.

You said there's no lip. Does that mean you cannot put the phone face down without the display touching the surface?

Oops! Don’t have these pics on my phone anymore either unfortunately. And I didn’t keep it on my phone since the ultrasuede flip arrived shortly after.

Ultrasuede feels great in hand. Thing is it developed a wrinkle in no time flat- currently waiting on a replacement they sent out.

Sounds like PS products are beta products now. With the way things have been going for the past couple of years, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re out of business within another 2-3 years.

If I’m paying a premium price I need to receive a premium product in return. Simple as that.

The things that made PS products distinctive - Made in Japan, and super precision- seem to be what they have given up. That makes their relatively high prices unsupportable. At the rate they’re going, they soon will be no better than the 10,000 other makers of junk on amazon.

Well Power Support sent me out 2 “retooled” Air Jackets for my X. I opted for 1 clear and 1 rubber black this time.

I have not tried out the clear case yet because I’ve been so in love with the fit and finish of the rubber black! Yes, it finally fits. No creaking and all the cutouts are precise, as is expected from PS. I’ll try out the clear in the upcoming days and report back, but if the black case is any indication of how it’ll fit, there shouldn’t be any issues.

So if you’ve had fitment issues, contact PS. While this whole fiasco has been kinda ridiculous, their customer service has been A1. Hopefully they learn from this debacle going forward!

I have the rubber black on the way. Can’t wait, glad I waited. Been using PS cases since the 5s. Looking forward for the silver accents of my Silver iPhone with this combination.

Update: My case came in today. Feels and fits great with no creaks. Loving it so far. Looks really good.

Mind sharing some pics? I'm considering this combo (silver X with rubber black air jacket - or at least a rubber black air jacket) and would love to see it. TIA!

What color X do you have? Mind posting some pics and commenting on the grip for both cases? Side note: I actually think the clear matte would look good on a SG X. Have you seen any pics of that combo?

Trying one mor time! How are fingerprints on the matte clear? Does it add some grip? Would you mind posting a couple more pics, one straight on, top-down with the screen off? Just wanna see how the edges look against the black! Thank you!

Waiting for "re-tooled" matte clear, arriving on monday :) Will try to post pics as soon as I get it. No fingerprits on matte clear at all,and very good grip.I have this one on space grey Ip X.
Anyone can post some pics with rubber black? I feel like getting this one would be a nice shot as well, wondering how is this rubber black to compare with Apple silicone case...?

Would also love to see some picks of the rubber black as I'm having a hard time deciding on a color for my X!

Please report.....how did it go with the clear? creaks and squeeks?

I got a replacement a while back. Just decided to put it on... should’ve known something was up when the bottom two corners didn’t want to go onto the phone. Ended up forcing it on... the case squeaked and popped anyways. Tried to take it off, but it was on so tight that it was impossible. I ended up phoning Power Support and the guy on the phone told me it’s supposed to be snug... this isn’t snug, it’s messed up. Ended up chipping the plastic around the screen trying to take it off.... broke both of my thumb nails too... that’s how tight it was around the phone.

Really pissed off about it. Went back to my original creaky one.

I'm surprised the Power Support guy didn't offer to send you the case removal tool. I emailed them couple of months ago and they mailed it to me free of charge. Nail saver!

He did. Doesn’t change the fact that the case wasn’t fitting properly. He kept arguing that the case fits properly. There is a difference between snug and next to impossible to remove.
