A friend of mine got a Power Support for me a couple of weeks ago. It’s definitely creaky and hard as ever to get off. The sides around the edge of the screen are also really sharp. I took it off pretty quickly. Disappointing for sure.

You all should check out the Caudabe Lucid Clear which is my daily driver. Just about the same as the Air Jacket. Looks beautiful, fits perfectly and feels higher quality around the edges. Way easier to remove too.

Which one is slimmer?

The Lucid isn’t an option for me due to the tacky branding on the side and the lip. Can’t do any cases with a lip, especially with the X.

I thought there's no lip on the Lucid Clear and some people were complaining to Caudabe.

You’re right...I was thinking of a different clear case apparently. May have to give it a shot even though I don’t love the slits on the bottom corners.

I still like the Power Support Air Jacket Clear. Will see if I can order the Lucid case and have it delivered to me in Hong Kong.

Not sure if it is important info but the Power Support Air Jacket being sold in Hong Kong are from Japan. These are made in Japan and not china. Not sure if the stock in the USA are the ones coming from China. The stock being sold in Hong Kong are higher priced because of them being imported from Japan.

I mostly will be using the Air Jacket till Jan 2018 because by then I will receive the dBrand Grip which I will use with the skins.

I am hugely disappointed with the fit of my two Air Jackets, clear and matte. Purchased from the USA vendor last week. Delivery was very fast. Prices were much higher than in Japan but that’s always been the situation with PS products here. They charge a 30 point premium.

I am also disappointed with the crystal film, which doesn’t actually cover the entire active area of the screen- slightly too narrow. But that’s not unusual for the PS early production. What is unusual is the film seems to have absolutely no fingerprint resistance, unlike the films for every other model I’ve used from the company.

I’ve been using Power Support cases and film since the 3G iPhone and never have has this kind of problem with case fit/creaking.

Two weeks ago, I went to Yodobashi and LABI in Shinjuku looking for the cases and film, none were on the shelves. Now I think I know why...

I might give it one more chance when I go back to Japan in January. They might possibly have it worked out by then-had a similar issue with the film for the iPhone 6 Plus, the initial production of film was slightly too small and later production was perfect. In the meantime I will fit some cheaper film I bought in amazon-which came with two pieces instead of the one pack from PS. (In Japan, PS always has two films in the pack as well).

Yeah god forbid someone screws up installing a $55 SP.

All the fitment complaints lately has me thinking all their time and resources went into R&D on the new products. One would hope they got that right at least. Will know here in a few days!

What was sold in Apple stores was made to a different specification (and might not have been made in Japan- I can’t recall), but since the 6/6S that’s no longer the case. Pretty sure it’s all the same stuff in different packaging now.

That is not true. It’s all marked made in Japan. Always has been.

What I don't understand is why all these years later they've still never bothered to make an edge to edge protector.

Their films are second to none, and I always have and always will use them on flat screens (just put one on my wife's new iPad Pro a month or so ago), and I always did use their Air Jackets (until now, don't like what they've done with them and the lack of attention to detail for slightly changing phones between 6/6S/7/8), but why on earth have they not even ever tried to make a tempered glass edge to edge protector like everyone else? I think they could own the market here, but they have never even bothered to try.

I want to love PS like I used to :(

Can’t say for sure on the old Apple store stuff since I never bought one which is why I said maybe.

The new dragontrail glass and ultrasuede stuff is made in China.

6 plus air jacket made in korea

My 3G, 4, 5, 6+ and 7+ Air Jackets were purchased in Tokyo- appears you're right that there were other items not made in Japan sold in Apple stores.

All good man!
[doublepost=1511988824][/doublepost]Just got the tracking notification on my dragontrail and ultrasuede flip. Wont even need the SP any time soon since I’ve got a Glas.tr Damn you holiday sales

I got mine a couple days ago. It’s very nice and well designed. Slim and looks perfect on a white X. But to me it kinda slippery so it won’t be my daily runner.

Just received my clear one for SG X and it fits and feels great. It's a bit creaky if I squeeze it firmly but doesn't creak upon normal use/holding. So overall not shabby at all.
