I certainly am. Hope to double my money.

Scalpers exist because there are either gullible, desperate or a little bit of both who are willing to be bamboozled.
If they weren't there the scalpers would go back into the deep, dark crevice from which they emerged.
This unmoral, greedy act should not be sugar coated nor should it be justified.

Absolutely. I know people here do not like that, but if I decide to keep my SE I will be doing this =|

I really think it is backordered crazy fast
Exactly, I have coworkers who are all android and they are ordering the X just to flip. I have no interest in buying it nor flipping, definitely going to be a hard item to find for a while for those interested in it.

I'm going to get one and flip it for $3k min. There are desperate people out there, including "Celebs" that Tim Cook doesn't care about.

How do you even flip something like this? Do you just meet someone in a parking lot and trust them to hand over 2K in cash? eBay it and risk scammers pretending they never got it?

Sounds like way too much hassle.

Some people line up, buy the phone and then wait for Apple to announce out of stock, they'll then auction it outside the store often making a few hundred $$$ for lining up.

Put it on Ebay and accept only Paypal. I can see this phone fetching close to $5k.

You should consider changing jobs, doesn't sound like the right kind of people you should be associating or working with...
lol yeah I hear you there. The company I work for use to be all Apple.. they changed to Android development this year. Myself and 1 other guy are the only two who don't use Android phones as daily drivers. I've refused to switch, though I admit I almost did last year. Then the whole battery blow out took place I was glad I didn't switch. Wasn't going to buy iPhone 7 Plus but my 6s Plus decided to go bonkers.. now with the 8 and work changing I didn't bother.. and with X I'm just not interested in it at all. Face ID just doesn't seem like something I want to dive into at the moment. I'm good waiting till next year with the larger screen X-1 or whatever they name the new phone plus the new form factored apple watch.

Lots of people with more money than sense too... LOL

I can't really say patience has ever been a strong point of mine but with hardware the way it is today phones and computers last a long time. That's why I skipped the iPhone 7 last year.

I built my gaming PC 7 months ago with top of the line hardware... and 7 months later it's still top of the line hardware.

Can't see dropping $3k for a $1k phone unless it included a cruise with a bunch of strippers or something...

I have not decided which color to get so will buy both, decide, and sell the extra. Can you buy it in full without putting in your phone number?

Why are you uncomfortable with putting in your phone number?

That's the thing, people with more money than sense especially outside the U.S. The common person will wait it out until the carriers start offering good money in return, the ones who carry $5k in pocket change will buy these up.
