This phone (iPhone 12 PM Gold) is too beautiful to be in a case.

I'm never buying a Pro or Pro Max, I had the XS for two years and that's enough, but the 12 Pros in gold are amazing. So stylish and luxurious, a candidate for the best ever in that style. People are going to be very happy. I'm impressed.

I have a leather pouch for my iPhone 11PM , aftfer about a month of using it the leather softens and slips in and out very easily. I can't wait for the Gold iPhone 12PM , those golden sides are so sexy it would be a crime to cover it IMO

I’m rocking it naked. Bought Apple care for peace of mind. Not even a screen protector. Screen has no micro scratches so far. Ceramic coming in clutch.
Same here mate, rather than investing in a case and screen protector I have opted for AC+ and rocking naked. It looks and feels nice and that's how it's going to be from now onwards.

So far no hairline scratches or anything so the ceramic shield is kinda doing its job till now. 😂

My iPhone 11 Pro remained perfect looking brand new after 12 months doing the same for my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

No way im going caseless or without any screen protectors smashed up my glass screen protector hit the side of my bike frame..

First time I dropped my phone three times last week knee height for rushing around no marks or dents thank god for the UAG case.

I'll go caseless again for the majority of time, but I'll pick up a silicon case for when I'm out running/biking which is to add to the grippy-ness as much as anything.

My silver 12 Pro will go nakey nakey, au natural. I loved the design of the 4/4S/5, and the returning aesthetic is part of the reason I upgraded this year, so no way will I hide all that in a case (even clear).

I am careful to put the phone down gently on any hard surface, and try to cushion it, e.g., on a napkin or small piece of micro fiber on the living room end table or my work-at-home desk.

My phone also has a dedicated carry pocket in my shorts or pants: keys & wallet go in the opposite pocket so nothing to scratch the screen or SS side bands. I've had good luck with these methods til now, so I expect the same for the life of my 12 Pro.

I have one on my XS Max and I love it. I’ve had it since July and it hasn’t yellowed yet and like you said, you can barely tell that I have a case on it.

Definitely!

I used an iPhone 8 for a year without a case or a screen protector, and it was in completely micro-scratchless condition when I gave it up.

My XS had been in use for 2 years similarly, and I have dropped it on pavement twice (first times I've dropped a phone), but there are only a couple of millimeter-lenght nicks at one of the corners and very hard to detect. Nothing visible on the screen or back itself.

Good experiences from my side with rocking the phone without any protections, so definitely will be using my new iPhone 12 White without any as well.

Usage style:

- Usually in jeans pocket without anything else in it when on the move
- During lunches and out 'n about, if I browse the phone, I usually place a napkin under it rather than lower it on the table directly.
- At home I leave it on surfaces normally and without extra care.

The 12 is so nice in hand too, and so light weight that I'd never use a case or a screen protector for it, and based on my previous experiences I'm very confident in doing so too.

Almost never had a case on a iPhone. I like to feel the way it’s meant to be felt. I have only cracked my screen once on my 6S.

I'm not a fan of cases, so my 12 will be caseless as well. I have AC+ in case something does happen to the device.

I also think that people who rock their phones naked are very careful and don't throw the phone around .
It doesn't matter how careful one can be. We have gravity on Earth which means things are going to drop. Heck, I'm one of the most OCD people on this Earth who takes care of my stuff beyond belief. But I have dropped my iPhones (on rare occasions) strictly by accident. This is why I have and will always use cases on m phones.

For all of these people going careless because of AppleCare, they don't just do replacements for cosmetic issues right? What happens if you just dent your phone but not seriously enough to warrant a replacement? That's what I'd be concerned about.

I don't think they do officially - but most Apple Stores will do it if you ask nicely in my experience. I've never done it - because I prefer to use my AppleCare+ for times when my phone is rendered unusable.

I purchased one of the thinnest and lightest cases on the market for the 12 Pro Max. (Pitaka Air case.) While I'd love to use the 12 PM case-less, I imagine I'd rather use something that adds grip but also barely any weight/thickness.
