Just been told by my reseller that after being on order for two weeks, that it is still 'in manufacture' in China.

NO IDEA!!!! when it will be shipped. MAY have some news next week.

Talked to an Apple webstore rep: Said shipping times where shipping times - manufacture is an UNKOWN?

What a pile of C**P

I'm in the UK.

Ordered mine on the 9th August (6-core).

Shipped on the 18th.

Arrived at Luxembourg on the 23rd.

Arrived in the UK on the 24th (where it was paired with Aperture 3.0)

Delivered to me on the 25th, a few hours after the shipping info was updated in my account info.

Once they reach Europe, it's pretty quick.

Following that time frame
my order should have shipped on the 22nd and be delivered Tuesday.

Not even confirmation they've put the bits in a box - 2 weeks later!!!!!

My god - good job Apple don't do fast food. Can you imagine it - Burger and fries - 45 seconds + an some magical number of hours minutes or seconds in getting it put together and across the kitchen.

More confirmation Apple are toy centric

Top post for me. My MP is currently in the air flying from HK to Luxembourg. May be there is a chance I will get it sometime early next week. Apple are still saying the 7th September.

Ordered my hexacore on Friday 20th and have the same delivery status and estimated delivery date as you.

Quick tip if you don't know already, go into the US version of the Apple store (not UK), lookup the status of your order and it will show tracking numbers, one of which (for the Mac Pro itself) starts with HKG. This is a Kuehne + Nagel tracking ref. If you paste it into this website http://www.kn-portal.com/ on the right hand side and select H/AWB number, you can track the flight your MP will be on from Hong Kong to (probably) Luxembourg, under 'Route Map'.

Eventually our UK apple order status should be updated with final carrier info, i.e. TNT or UPS, from Luxembourg to you in the UK.

hi i only saw a tracking number with WW************ where's the one you're talking about?

SOMEONE PLEEEASE PLEASE HELP ME?

If you log on to the US Apple Store site you should have two tracking numbers. One for the Mac Pro and one for the other item. For mine the Mac Pro has a number HKG-06894425 and a WW********** number for my printer. I hope this helps.

nope just the WW********** number for both :|

Hi, thanks Akira, Sure, I did call Covent garden whilst I was waiting for my train and they didn't have any 12 Core Ma Pro's, I insisted this time for him to verify that and he did, so I had to get my train ticket re-imbursed!! lol!!

When I got home I called Regent Street store just in case, again this bloke wasn't sure at first, then he eventually checked with someone who knew and they did have the 12 Core in stock but only the standard configuration, ie 2.66Ghz processor, so wasn't for me.

So have been on the phone earlier this afternoon to Apple again and they were trying to check what was going on and they did note that there was an escalation 2 hours prior, they did say that it would ship the following day, ie Friday, I did also wanted to see if I could alter the config slightly, ie get a 5870 instead of the 5770 as of course they are scarce and downgrade my Ram, and he said he would get back to me, so far nothing! So we'll see what tomorrow brings. Just very frustrating! And I don't know how Apple can advertise now 5 to 7 days when some people are still without two and a half weeks later!! Just greedy management!!

If the computer is already built I don't think you'll be able to change the configuration.

I had the option to change mine until this morning, when the order still was showing 'Not shipped' but the option of changing or cancelling the order was greyed out. I called Apple to ask what was going on (when I ordered shipping time was 5-7 days and today it made 10) and the guy I spoke with told me everything was ready and it will ship later today. A couple of hours ago I received an email saying the order has shipped with an estimate delivery date of 9 of September. 23 days after they charged me for the bloody computer. But hey, at least it has already shipped!

If memory serves that WW number should be all you need.

Failing that you might be able to look at your order history and track it that way (like you can on amazon.)

BTW

Just went into the various electronics shops on Tottenham court road in London, and the Apple re-seller there (I've forgotten the name, sorry) said they had the base config. ones in their warehouse and they'll be coming in on Tuesday.

Am just exasperated!

It's almost like their doing you a favour by delivering it whether it's late or not!!

Apparently, finally, I got some sort of answers, long story, mine will ship on Monday, and is still scheduled to arrive on 3rd. I just find it fanciful that they give two weeks shipping then add another week and a half to cover themselves, but then other customers get theirs early, before the two weeks!! I'm not holding my breath, if it's not shipped by then I guess I'll have to cancel the order as I suspect it won't arrive for a gig I've been contracted on the following two weeks. Jeesh, I thought I'd allowed enough slippage time of a week and a half!!

Good for you!! Now how did you, they, manage to get it to you withing two weeks of ordering it without having the two weeks, it will ship, plus then another xx days!!

We want to learn you trick!! :p

Was expecting delivery today (Fri 27th), that was what the original order said, but it spent last weekend in Arnhem, with no update to tracking info and then lo-and-behold it appeared on my doorstep on Monday (23rd).

No trick, ordered three days after orders being taken on Apple Store.

Mate, your so incredibly lucky! !Just got my shipping email last night, although along with it a new delivery date of 9th Sept, and then go online and check the status and it read the 11th Sept, considering I order my 12 core on 11th August that'll be appalling if that happens. I am hoping that if it hasn't got on a flight already, that it'll go either today or first thing tomorrow, get to Luxembourg and swiftly clear there for a rapid delivery at least by the end of the week, which will match their original target of 3rd Sept, which is galling since the original shipping date was 25th Aug!!

How have you guys interpreted the DTB or the last few lines and also the Third Party, is that delivery to customer or is their "another couple" days of wait from the package arriving in Luxembourg, RCF/AWB???

Cheers!

Glad your machine is making some progress at last :)

If you look at the K&N tracking info, you will see that your 'package' weighs a lot - mine said 270kg. This is because what is being tracked is the freight with a shipment of Mac Pros. These then need to be divided up, combined with the 'other' part of your delivery - I believe this is the manuals and discs but I could be mistaken - and then on-shipped to you via UPS, TNT etc.

From the above I would assume a couple more days after 2nd Sep. Mine was on a plane that had the DTB status on 28th August and nothing else has been updated yet, so I think you still have some waiting to do :(

But it'll be worth it when it arrives! :D

I know this has been asked, but what code are you using to see your status? Mine shipped on the 26th, but all I have is a WW000************* one as well as a Apple reference code beginning with 81

I've tried loading the KN with all these numbers without success. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned a code beginning HKG-8*******, unfortunately I don't have this and all my codes have 9 figures and not 8.

Argh :S

I don't have a TNT reference code yet

What have they been doing with my order?

Its amazing - they can ship a million iPads a week ;)
But they can't put a video card and some memory in a MacPro and put it in a box after 2 weeks.

Hi stujmac26,

Up until Saturday morning at least, my Mac Pro was with yours on the trip to Luxembourg. Have you any idea what is happening now. I expected a new tracking number from TNT by now. I hope it is not just sitting in a warehouse somewhere until they can be bothered to pick it up.

By the way it is not the manuals and disc that they are waiting for. All this will have been done before it left China. It is any other items that you ordered from Apple Store (Printers etc.). Or in some cases the Apple Care documents. There is no reason for any hold up in it then being shipped on.

Hey glassbathroom - I've heard and seen nothing! Was expecting it to be slow after the UK bank holiday but thought status would be updated this morning. Weirdly yesterday my iPad 'Deliveries' app said 'status updated tomorrow' - it's never had a future date for any delivery before, so hopefully that means it is moving but they just haven't told us yet.

Thanks for the info on the extra bits - it'll be my Apple Care documents, hope that doesn't cause a delay as they could just post that to me separately!!

Now I just need to reconcile in my mind whether to wait for a 27" ACD (when in September do we think they will come out?!?) or grab a 24" ACD whilst they are still available. I have no way to use my new MP without one or the other!!!

Ok, my package says 161Kg. Wow, yours DTB said 28th, so Saturday, I'd be very unhappy the Bank Holiday interrupted the delivery. My mind has been reading the DTB estimate as being in the UK at a TNT or UPS hub, but thats my decipher of it!! I am assuming if mine left Hong Kong at 1 in the morning it would be in Amsterdam by now!?!? Thats kind of bad planning/logistics of Apples main hub is in Luxembourg, you kinda think Amsterdam would have been a wiser location considering their manufacture plant is in China and AMS is where the entry into Europe is, but then what do I know!!

I've had numerous conversations with Apple staff and on Friday, someone took me seriously and making attempts to deliver it before my deadline of Friday, I guess if it's doesn't arrive then, I'll cancel it and maybe take the option of Apples kind "loan" service for 14 days!! But then that would mean driving into Regent Street or Covent Garden! :D

Thanks for the update. I was discounting the Monday holiday as it doesn't apply elsewhere in Europe and I think Apple Store HQ is in Ireland for us. They way these ship really exasperates me. Not long to wait though now. I just need to relax.

If it were me, I think I would wait for the 27". Maybe grab a very cheap screen off ebay to tide me over. It's funny I have an older 23" screen. When I bought this, I couldn't imaging ever wanting anything bigger. But I can now.
