Mine has arrived. UPS tracking details were posted last night (difficult to know when as the Apple Store was down for the new iPods & Apple TV).

Came in the big white Mac Pro box so everyone at work now knows I have more money than sense  :p :D

Just received my SSD from OWC (to UK shipment) I ordered it a day after I ordered the Mac Pro and it actually arrived today 2 days later! Was shipped with Fedex and they didn't charge me any VAT/customs.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

I ordered a software license dongle that came in Fed EX large box from a supplier in Phoenix Arizona, ordered it a couple weeks ago, about 7pm UK time friday night, it arrived in the UK Saturday night, received to me Monday morning, thats what I call quick delivery!!

That was two weeks today, just received in the post the Customs duty charge from Fed Ex, ouch!!!

Not the quickest delivery record, the longest. Keep up.:D

Seriously though, I don't know why it's taking you guys so long. My case is different due to it being a replacement and not a sale. And even though I got the stock 8 core, I was given a trackpad and wireless mouse, so it was classed as a BTO.

I was told it might take a month to send to me, but after a strong email (but polite) suddenly Applecare in Ireland magically had one to give me, which leads me to believe that either:

1. They just added the extras in Ireland

2. The Apple stores/Applecare are getting it before the first orders (makes sense)

3. There may be a problem at the plant. Although it takes probably much longer to assemble a MP, the volumes of orders much be much much lower than their notebooks.

I do guess they have to make it on an order-by-order basis. It would not make any sense to keep stock of all configurations (by virtue of how many options there are)

Also I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread, but expedited shipping is a con, it can't be expedited due to the fact it has to come from China by air, and if you call up you will get a refund for it!

My MP has arrived at last. Just doing a clean Smow Leopard install on my SSD and it is taking ages. Have to leave for the weekend soon!

What?! Why from Ireland?! Did your order state a longer shipping time as well or has it always been 2nd september? I ordered the same, but with 5870 card.

Other than the 6 core 3.33 ghz processor and the wireless keyboard, the machine is stock. It said when I ordered it 3-5 business day dispatch and gave me an estimated delivery date between 6th and 9th September. Currently it is on its way to the Croyden UPS depot so hopefully should be out for delivery to me on Monday.

My SSD, extra HDD's and RAM all arrived on Friday :D

I have just called Apple Costumer Service and they told me the free-after-rebate printer that I ordered as part of the back to school deal is on backorder.. which was why the whole order was supposed to arrive on Tuesday 21st, but they can split the delivery, so my custom Mac Pro (and back to school deal iPod Touch) will arrive 2 working days earlier.. which means the friday or saturday before, so 17th or 18th September... I guess that's a little better

From the general shipping thread:
Mine says it has been shipped today together with my iPod touch and apple care. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for it to arrive (I live in the UK). It actually shows me an expected delivery date of 24th September now. That's 3 days WORSE than the expected delivery date before they shipped it.. 2 WEEKS to ship something from Netherlands to UK or wherever they ship it from?!? That surely can't be right?

How long did it take from shipping date to receiving it for you?

EDIT: My order status says "Shipped on: Sep 10, 2010 via Syncreon Technology. Who are they?
