I've seen a lot of debate on the subject and I'm just curious:

Is anyone here planning on canceling their order or returning their 6 or 6+ if they come to find out it only has 1gb of RAM?

EDIT: Now basically confirmed only 1gb of RAM due to the true reviews being released.

I'm leaning towards it. $1,000 CAD for a gimped phone? Sorry Apple, not happening.

I'll probably just stick with my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini for now.

No big deal though, Apple will just have an extra 6 Plus exchange unit.

I mean, if it was laggy or unresponsive then yeah. But I can't see Apple releasing a laggy phone this late in the game. They know what people expect.

It will be 1GB ram, if the iPad air has 1GB this will too.

Maybe the new iPads will set the tone for 2GB because of the rumored multitasking for 8.1.

P.S. do you guys think that 1gb of RAM will start to quickly show lag/sluggishness with soon-to-be future iOS releases and shorten the amount of time until the 6+ is left for dead by Apple?

No.

I always close all my app manually and I always close all my browser tab manually too so 1GB or 2GB does not impact me. And in 2 years I am buying iPhone 7 or 7+ anyway.

I won't even order one if it has 1GB of RAM, let alone cancel my order. All that money for an old gen iPhone with a bigger screen? When Apple properly update the 5S then I'll be interested.

What updates in the iPhone would you need to feel compelled to upgrade?

I ordered both to be delivered launch day and will return or sell one unopened. I will base my opinion on the professional reviews that should drop tomorrow. If indeed the plus is laggier and has performance issues over the 6 its a no brainer. Doesn't make since to pay more for less performance. Too bad the 6 doesn't have the OIS but I feel the overall performance of the phone is more important.

If I detect even a hint of any lag whatsoever then it's going back, my 5s didn't lag and I can get that back for half the price.
