Groan. This has been an issue for years, it isn't a 'possible' issue with the new phone. The RAM is the same amount as in the two year old iPhone 5, and therefore the issue will still occur.

Dude, how do you know they haven't figured out a work around? It's like you want it to fail just to prove a point. Be optimistic and if it fails, return your phone. Apple are not going to put new chips in now, so why try spreading some level of insecurity in people this close to release? Have a little faith.
 
Or perhaps the less dramatic approach for many would be to simply keep your current iPhone that already has 1gb of RAM and simply upgrade next year if they happen to increase the RAM?

I want a bigger screen, so I am buying a new phone now. Let's see how awful the 1GB is with the iPhone 6. While Apple has offered iOS to some old devices that don't seem to handle it, the iPhone 5 and 5S have worked just fine with 1GB.
