I bet Samsung is watching this very closely. Hoping and praying there will be some RamGate that will push people to return or not buy the 6+ and jump on over to the Note 4.

Note 4 does not have a 64 bit processor, using the last gen of 32 bit snapdragons. It's not as future proof as people think.

I think I would happily trade 64-bit on the iPhone for an extra gig of RAM in order to future proof better.

It will be 1GB ram, if the iPad air has 1GB this will too.

Maybe the new iPads will set the tone for 2GB because of the rumored multitasking for 8.1.

Aw nah don't say that! I'm gonna have to sell my few months old Air for A NEW SUPER DUPER IMPROVED IPAD AIR 2!

Sooooo.... now that the reviews are out and it's basically confirmed to have only 1gb of RAM, anyone change their mind?

Not cancelling order, but perhaps coming here less because OCD people like you to go ballastic and hijack tons of threads around here, making them unproductive to read.

Now lets get back to more important things, such as iOS 8 today and preparing to enjoy our new iPhone 6/+ coming Friday!!!

Just curious since you didn't quote anyone, who are you even talking to?

Personally I'm keeping my 5s anyways because I like the size so I assume it's not me when you reference "OCD people like you."

I have indeed referenced YOU, thread starter, and you know it. You and your cohorts have hijacked enough around here about this 1GB of RAM issue.

Ah, gotcha. So pretty much anyone who has asked a question about RAM whatsoever you mean. At least it's more clear now. Carry on :)

p.s. if you didn't want to see anymore RAM threads, why did you even resurrect this one?

Because it's new for me since I haven't been here since last evening.

Then if it's a thread you don't want to see just let it die off and don't post in it to ensure it doesn't jump to the front page of the forum again?

Because the argument is so redundant at this point, that the thought of bringing a thread of this nature back to life would cause nauseating rage.

By all means, please, pretty please return your handset due to the lack of RAM. I'm on the fence about the colour and I need a straight swap if I don't dig white. Also, pretty sure EVERY SINGLE REVIEW has clearly shown not a glimmer of lag or stuttering from either handsets.

But what does visual proof matter? You want numbers...

This was never about lag or speed, merely webpage and app reloading. A major problem on iOS devices.

I'm being completely honest here when I say, I've never experienced/noticed it. The uproar this situation has caused is leading me to assume you guys can't even view web pages or open apps. Its been blown out of proportion.

Not canceling but very disapponted. I also ordered the Moto X2 yesterday. I'll use both and see which phone I prefer.

Safari reloading is the most annoying "feature" of iOS. It happens less on the 5S, but iPad is becoming a chore to use as I typically have 2-3 tabs open.

It's a specific problem, not a system-wide problem or indeed a lag issue. The webpage reloading fault has plagued my iPhone for the past two years and I'm certainly not dropping $$$$ on a new iPhone which due to the same paltry 1GB of RAM is going to exhibit the same problem. Way too many people here are fine with the fact that the iPhone 6 is going to have the same bottleneck as the iPhone 5 and 5S. Surely Apple won't stick with 1GB when the next upgrade comes along, and that will see the iPhone 6 as merely a stopgap big screen model heaped alongside the i5 and 5S. I'm extremely disappointed and very few people seem to care that their expensive late-2014 device is going to be crippled by the RAM.

Not to mention future iOS update issues that might be caused by a lack of sufficient RAM.

That's a good point.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus won't have problems with iOS 8, but they may struggle with future iOS versions.
Many people here buy a phone every year or every other year so is not a big deal and I wouldn't cancel the order if I were one of them.

Cancel and do what? Switch to Droid over a stupid tech spec that probably won't be anything to worry about? No thanks.

Or perhaps the less dramatic approach for many would be to simply keep your current iPhone that already has 1gb of RAM and simply upgrade next year if they happen to increase the RAM?

Groan. This has been an issue for years, it isn't a 'possible' issue with the new phone. The RAM is the same amount as in the two year old iPhone 5, and therefore the issue will still occur.

I would but my problem is I have a Xperia Z. I really want IOS and iPhone, because I grew to love it because of my ipad, but I really hoped to get a future proof phone this year. I really dont want to keep this Android thing any longer. Guess I will need to grab it, though I hoped it would feel better
