Aperture or Aperture Science is a company known for innovations in science, like their quantum portaling device, or portal gun. Started by Cave Johnson in the 50s as Aperture Fixtures, the company originally made Shower Curtains. However, they then noticed that science can be more profitable and began looking into ways to make gels that can make you jump higher or run faster. Cave also wanted to make a jell that would convert certain surfaces to stone. He used a moon-rock based substance to make the jell. However, the jell made Cave gravely sick. He wanted to continue his scientific discoveries, so he began to look into Artificial Intelligence systems and placing human brains in computers. He also around this time created combustible lemons. Shortly after, Cave had passed away. His assistant continued Cave's dream of AI-human interaction. Thus, they had placed her brain in a system called GLaDOS. Once it was turned on, a deadly nurotoxin was released into the facility, killing most of the employees. They began to stick restricting cores on her to control her behavior. Eventually, they put the system in charge of research testing. The testing began with the Portal Gun. A test agent named Chell was the only one to survive the tests and ended up killing GLaDOS. The lab fell to decay and was abandoned.

That is what Aperture is, Matt.

according to google Aperture is a Professional Photography program......

This was a triumph...

I'm writing a note here: HUGE SUCCESS!

I know it was human brains in computers.... lab falling into decay and abandoned sounds just like the Fallout games....

I guess it could in a way. I've never played the Fallout games before, but I kinda know the premise. However, with that, when you hear Aperture Science, it should immediately make you think portal, since your reminded who your working (testing) for throughout the entire game.

Hey sorry for not responding sooner, just wanted to update everyone. Everything will be in the mail as of today. My paypal is davelikesdinos@gmail.com if you wanna chuck shipping back; I believe the charges should all be on the packages themselves.

Also, I believe I was diligent and everything that needs a serial has one on the CD/DVD and/or slipcase, but if they don't PM me and I'll send you them. There were a lot of discs.

Would anyone happen to have a copy of iLife '06 or '09 (I think '09 is the last iLife that will work with a powerPC)?

I have a 1.42 Processor w/1Gb Ram, 80Gb HDD, Radeon 9200 and Leopard 10.5.8

Thank in advance!

iLife 08 is final version for Tiger, iLife 09 is final version for Leopard.

Both PPC of course. :)

Great source for iLife 09 and iWork 09 is on ebay. Look for a 'Mac Box Set', there is one for Leopard. Also, if you have an intel mac pro, install the iLife/iWork 09, and apple will give you free upgrade to the 2015 version.

Thanks! Now to go hunt on Ebay, I still have the Snow Leopard disks that came with my MacBook Pro when I received it as a gift, original disks but they wont work on my PPC Mac Mini, so off to Ebay!

Thanks again! Just out of a curiosity, are there tracking numbers for these? i don't care either way, but it would be helpful to have to see when they are coming. Also, i will gladly pay for shipping when I get them.
