It’s a bit of a fingerprint magnet and it wobbles on flat surfaces.

Wow, that is terrible. You kind of have to use the wallet if you're going to go with the clear case I feel. Lucid Clear it is. Some have docked it for the button cutouts but frankly unless they're metal like the Apple Leather cases, I would rather have the button cutouts. Furthermore, will take button cutouts over a full bottom cutout (like the Apple Clear) any day of the week.

The "cutout" being referred to on the Apple Clear Case, is it from one side to the other along the bottom?

I haven't seen any pics of that anywhere?
That would sway me from that case also I think...

Yes, it is from side-to-side. Look at the iPhone 11 silicone/leather cases, this iPhone 12 clear case has the exact same bottom cutout.

Anyone got pacific blue with apple clear?

would love to see a photo

yes, I have a totallee which is ok but doesn’t really show the PB. Good grip though.

Historically gone for Apple's own leather cases in Saddle Brown, which obviously aren't out for the 12/12 Pro for a few weeks yet. And I've rarely been a fan of the colours of Apple's silicone cases and watch sport bands, they've always seemed either too pale or too in-your-face vivid and never quite right.

Until the plum case for the 12/12 Pro. The pics online looked great and was minded to check one out on person in the Apple store when I picked up my 12 Pro on IUP. Luckily the colour is even better in person, so picked one up for my silver Pro. Looks terrific on the phone and feels like a quality case in the hand with just enough friction to not feel like a bar of soap.

I'll still be picking up an Apple saddle brown leather case when they come out, but will be keeping the plum silicone case, switching them according to mood and taste.

The white circle ruins the look for me.

Agreed. Was interested until I saw the solid white circular bands on the back; almost un-Apple like in their aesthetic ruining prominence.

Along the whole bottom except for the bottom corners

This looks similar to my elago TPU I got.

I hate it.

The anti-streaking material ruins the matte glass look.

I'm wondering how Spigen Liquid Crystal or Ultra Hybrid look. Those have been generally good in the past, but I think liquid crystal has the dot grid too.

edit- the ultra hybrid looks good! Dang may have to toss in an order to alternate it with my silicone case

Jeez! That's a pretty poor decision from Apple in my opinion!

Why leave the whole bottom of the device exposed like that?
Probably even the cheapest of the cheapest cases have managed to accommodate around the speakers and lightning port.

I've gotta say, the Circle on the back didn't bother me, and I considered buying the case.
But I won't be now due to the cut out at the bottom.

I'm hoping to get a Leather Case when they are released.
Fingers crossed they aren't exposed at the bottom also....

Thanks.

I can’t get my head around why the bottom of that case is missing like that and there’s no excuse for it other than someone at Apple thought it was a good idea. It just leaves the phone wide open to damage if dropped and most case manufacturers have managed a complete case design.

I also can’t believe they’ve released a case with that bright white circular thing on the back either. They could have at least coloured it to be less obvious when on phones and maybe colour match it somewhat. It looks bloody awful but again this is probably a design statement they’ve chosen to make. People will probably buy them because it shows they’ve got an iPhone 12 but I really don’t see the appeal myself.

That case looks really good, actually. I've been thinking that I'll go careless this year when I do get my 12, but the fingerprint marks on the glossy finish have put me off a little bit. This clear case looks like it'll do the job. Thanks for sharing that video! :)

Anyone try this brand before? It has really good reviews and looks nice. May try it. I love my Plum silicone case from apple but the cutout for the charging port is rough so when my pinky rests on it it’s quite annoying

Tried Apple silicon case. Never bought an Apple case before. Case was actually slippery. This years iPhone isn’t that slippery. Tempted to just use without a case.

I’ve always used the Apple leather cases. Until the Apple 12 leather cases are released I’ve bought an Apple silicone case and it’s rubbish. Too slippy and the buttons blend into the case too much.

Bring on the leather case with more grip and metal buttons.

I just ordered it on eBay through the spigen store. Out of stock on Amazon for now

I think eBay will be faster in this case. Same price too

Already ordered the Spigen and cancelled the Apple one. Should have it sometime next week.

I have the Blue iPhone 12 and the Apple Clear MagSafe case. I don't mind the white circle etc. on the back, I don't mind the cut out at the bottom (as another post said, if it wasn't for the cut out you'd never get the case off!), I think the case feels lovely on the phone (maintains the smooth feel of the phone) but what I cannot stand, and it's caused me a few accidents so far, is that the case is so slippy! I've dropped the phone at least twice today alone. I've got a JETech clear case on order (same as I used on my iPhone XR, served me well). My greatest concern with third party cases like this though is how much they'll decrease the effectiveness of the MagSafe attachment. I am really hoping that third parties come out with their own MagSafe compatible cases soon and so I can get my hands on a nice, clear, grippy case which works well with the MagSafe system. The new case should be here on Tuesday, fingers crossed it'll work well with the phone and the MagSafe charger (it's a bit of a gimmick really, especially when it charges about ½ the speed of just using a cable on the same charger according to multiple reports, but I like it) and if so the Apple Clear Case will be going back for a refund (it's a nice case, but £49 for something that slippy, no thanks).

I got the Caudabe Lucid Clear and love it. First time using the Lucid in many years and I remember now why I loved it so much. I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would get the Apple clear case with that ugly magnet ont he back when so many good options like Lucid Clear exist.

Peel has clear cases. Two models. The first is a hard, clear case with cutouts for all of the buttons. The second is a softer, TPU clear case with all buttons protected. I'm thinking about the softer, TPU version, but I have to email them first to see if it's anti-yellowing / anti-bubbling.

The clear options are the last two in the color palette.

I have this too, it's exactly the same as the Totallee clear cases with a bigger cutout for the speakers on the bottom.

I love Totallee. They have such great service and discounts all the time. I just needed something right away and theirs was more expensive and they were charging shipping under $50

My wife got a clear Otterbox Symmetry that has sparkles in it. She plans to put it on her silver/white 12 Pro when it arrives.

I am considering the otter boy symmetry as well. I was wondering how the sides are...
So when the case arrives could you maybe tell me how the sides of the case look like?
Are they as rounded as they were for the previous phones or are they just as straight as the sides of the new iPhone 12... I can’t really tell from the pictures...
