I seriously considered sticking with my 6S+ (it is in perfect condition) but I've been having so many problems with signal (and it's great on my iPP so I don't think it's the actual signal out here), I decided to go ahead and go for it.
6 Plus for another year, hopefully next years iPhone is not an S model.
I'm trying the 7 out because like all apple products battery life ****ing sucks. I wanna see what the hype with 3d touch is about.
3d touch is the worst feature to upgrade for. I'd almost call it more of a nuisance than a feature.
Battery life, well worth the upgrade.
I went in and traded my iPhone 6 for an SE yesterday. I missed the smaller form factor, and I figure it'll give me a few more years of a headphone jack (would've gone 6S if I wanted the larger screen.) I've purchased every other new model since the 3G, so this was the first time I haven't traded for the brand new model.
It feels oddly liberating to not buy the latest and greatest. I think my interest in being on the cutting technology edge is waning, now that all of the phones are so good these days.
I've had a 6s Plus for the past year but have been using our 'spare' 5 for the past week as I was considering chopping in the 'big one' to fund a new 7 Plus today.
As per my earlier post, when it came to it I just couldn't justify the outlay on the 7 so didn't press the button.
I do though know I could never go back to the small screen a la iPhone 5 so it was a worthwhile experiment if nothing else.
As to your other point - I so agree! I have upgraded every year since the 3GS and the last couple of times have felt a bit 'wrong' in doing so.
I too feel surprisingly free by rejecting Cupertino's latest and to be honest feel bored by it all. This coupled with Apple's vicious UK price increases mean they haven't hooked me this year and I feel better for it!
