Still have my launch 6+. I'll likely give it to the wife and sell her 5.

For me, I've noticed certain web pages and apps getting slower and slower as the months went by. I am most excited by the new A10 and the 3GB of ram in the 7+. A speed boost is the biggest plus for me along with the better camera.

Recently sold my 6 which was in perfect and excellent condition.

I had my battery replaced this summer on my 6, so it should be usable for several more years. Just not by me. It will be replacing a 4 that I used for 2 years, then I handed it down and used another 4.

I like my 6+ a lot but I've been having some problems in about the last montho_O. Otherwise, I probably would have kept it.

Mine is mint but I think the battery is slipping a bit, might keep it as a backup. How much that run you, turn around time, etc?

Sticking with my 6 Plus, the only thing that bothers me is the lack of RAM, multitasking is a bit slow and things like the iOS 10 "quick reply" notifications are borderline unusable. Toying with the idea of buying a 6s Plus but think I'll save my money for next year. Just hope it's the rumoured massive update and it's not delayed until 2018 in favour of a '7s'...

I'm on the fence about moving up from my 6+ to the 7+...

My two year old 6+ is working fine but I want better stills and 4K video.
My camera OIS is part of the recall repair program but mine works fine.
Is iOS 10 going to make my phone crawl?
My current screen displays sRGB gamut more-or-less - but the resolution could be a lot better.
3GB of system memory and the faster CPU and GPU are tempting - especially when I have one of those reloading page error messages that I get once in a while.
The 3.5mm audio out being eliminated isn't too big a deal for me because I already use Lightning connector in my car and when I'm using high-end headphones through an Amp/DAC.
Weatherproofing would be nice.
I want to maximize my 6+ trade-in value.
Is the 7 going to be dramatically eclipsed by the 8 with wireless charging and a new major redesign?

Trying to pre-order was the usual mess and by the time I could finally order, the ship dates were already 2-3 weeks delayed. If it had been a smooth process, with the option of in-store pick-up, I'd already have ordered a 7+.

I guess I'm going to wait for folks to get their 7s and try to snag one at my local Apple Store a few weeks after launch if everything is groovy on the 7+.

I currently have a 6+ and works great. I'm just upgrading just to give the new phone a try. I plan on keeping my 6 as a back up phone. Sorta crazy but who knows? Maybe I'll end up returning the 7 and going back to the 6.

I paid £700 for my 64GB 6s Plus last year. 12 months later it's worth £400. The new mid-range 7 Plus is £800 (thanks for the 15% increase, Apple!). I figure I've already 'lost' £400 if I want to upgrade and next year my 6s Plus will probably be worth about £300 - I can live with that a little easier after 24 months of use.

I agree with you - I think the 7 will be a weird relative of the 6 and 6s this time next year. The 10th Anniversary iPhone is the one to get. I hope..

The forums are going bonkers!

I am still with the original 6+ from 2 years ago. I love it and honestly wasn't really wowed by the new release. However now I am some what tempted to upgrade through one of the upgrade programs therefore giving me the option to upgrade when the true redesign comes out.

With that said, I still enjoy my 6+ from two years ago and it is still going strong and again the upgrades don't really wow me (I am a casual user anyway).

Anyone in the same boat? All i see when i search for this type of scenario is people asking if their 6s / 6s+ is worth the upgrade. For me, its the original 6+ vs getting the 7+. Decisions decisions.
Sure. The 6 is my daily driver. Still works great.

The new phone looks nice, but I have no reason to upgrade when my current phone has no issues.
I
6 Plus for another year, hopefully next years iPhone is not an S model.

I am sticking with my 6plus. Love it and will wait till next year.

I have an SE I just bought in April that I'm perfectly happy with. I'm tempted by the Jet Black 7, but it's still larger than I want to carry, and doesn't really offer anything else more than I already have. I might be more tempted to upgrade if it had the dual camera, but the Plus is way too big for my needs.

That said, even if I were upgrading, I would wait at least 6 months to see how the headphone thing shakes out.

I just don't see the features being compelling enough, unless maybe I were still using an iPhone 5s, to warrant upgrading immediately. And there's a lot of disappointment over how poorly Apple handled the removal of the headphone jack. Too many kludged solutions to replace basic headphone jack functionality. This will get better as third parties address in the marketplace, but there's just not enough about the 7 to justify me trying to find work arounds to things I simply take for granted now.

gonna end up hanging on to a bent 6+ and really good condition 6+. tried to CL the bent phone but i'd rather keep it then give it away.

Still rocking the 6 here too. I've had no issues with it and as an app developer, I use it as my main testing device (there's still a lot of CPU and GPU power left in it too). While I'm not very exited by the iPhone 7 (personally, I don't even think it deserves to be called the iPhone 7, maybe iPhone 6SX) I have decided to get one anyways. My top 3 reason are:

1. Better camera: the iPhone 6 camera is not bad but it would be nice to have higher resolution, better low light performance and the ability to capture wider colors. The better face time camera is another bonus.

2. Resale / Trade in value: The iPhone 6 is 2 years old now and its value has dropped significantly and it will only continue to drop as time goes on. I don't like having a bunch of old phones laying around so I'd rather get rid of my iPhone 6 at a time when I can get a reasonable amount for it.

3. Water proofing: I've been lucky enough to not drop my iPhone 6 into a puddle or sink or toilet (I'm not sure how so many people drop theirs in the toilet) but it would be very nice to not have to worry about water damage.

I have a 6 and have ordered a 7 but am now in two minds if need to upgrade. My contract is up for renewal otherwise I wouldn't even consider upgrading as my 6 is still serving me well. I might cancel and just go on a sim plan till I feel the need to upgrade.

I'm trying the 7 out because like all apple products battery life ****ing sucks. I wanna see what the hype with 3d touch is about.

My 2 year old 6 plus still gets epic battery life. Im holding off till I'm running 10, if I notice a performance decrease then maybe I will upgrade.

I'm sticking with my 6 I got on launch two years ago. Why? I love the phone, size it works super for everything I do and have had no problems what so ever. This is a testimate to the product. I understand people want the newest and best but if you're happy with what you have, I think it's great Apple makes quality products that last and perform

These are my thoughts as well. Apple made an amazing phone with the 6/6 plus. I love my plus.

Alright, I've gotta come clean.

I had no intention of getting rid of my 6, but then Verizon offered me $650 to trade it in. Hmmm...trade in my 16GB iPhone 6 and get a 128GB iPhone 7 for a measly $4/mo. tacked onto my bill. Too good to pass up.

Phew. I feel better now. Thanks for understanding.

I think I'm hold on to my 6+ for another year and wait for the iPhone 8. To upgrade or rent basically using plan now and have to give it up in a year is pissing away $$$$.

You don't have to give it up or trade it in early. Plus all the carriers are offering a free 7 with the trade in of a 6/6+/6s/6s+ on an installment plan

I was planning to keep my 6 for another year. It still works great and is in good condition. It does have one bright pixel which bugs me from time to time. But my daughter is starting to complain about her old iPhone 4 (a hand me down) and optical zoom is something I have been wishing for in an iPhone for a long time, so I will get a 7+ before the end of the year, and give the 6 to my daughter.

I must admit I really like the look of the Note 7. If I wasn't so invested in the apple ecosystem I'd be tempted to try that once the battery issue is resolved.

I was going to hold on to my 6 Plus, but I decided that there's enough features that I like about the iPhone 7 to upgrade—more memory, water resistance, 3D Touch, to name three. I'll probably give my phone to my wife if she wants it, or I'll sell it.

battery life sucks? Are you new? The Battery life of an iPhone is better than any other flagship if you also compare battery sizes....

Upgrading to 7 or 7 plus is pointless. Apple will introduce iphone 8 in September 2017. It plans to be equipped with many new innovations absent from the lackkuster iphone 7. So why spend $1000 when you have to upgrade again?

Those are nothing but rumors - I'd be amused if Apple kicks out an 7S next year...
Also, I love new gadgets and have the spare money to buy it, so why not? It's not "lackluster" at all, imo, but an awesome upgrade for nearly everyone; that camera alone is going to rock really hard.

Wait, did you not spend months defending the headphone jack removal?
