Anyone still "Preparing for Shipment"?

I am still one of the many people with "preparing for shipment" status but expected Delivery on Friday.
However, I notice that when I go to Apple's support profile (https://supportprofile.apple.com) I am now seeing the iPhone 5 (though just a placeholder Apple logo and the Serial Number).
Also, when I checked the UPS tracking by reference with my phone number it does show up there too.
For those in the same status, you can check those two things as well (unless you're getting a Fedex delivery I suppose, unless they have a similar search option to UPS). Rest assured your iPhone is coming you guys.

The updates that are showing are NOT accurate. Phones are moving, shipping, etc etc
They are not updating stuff for good reason - to avoid people slamming the shipper site to see if it moved across the loading dock, etc.
Your phone could be way closer than you think - right now.

Pretty confident that everyone who pre-ordered will get their iphone friday. Mine still says preparing for shipment but has already made its journey from China and is know sitting in Louisville KY with all the other iphones. I have pre ordered the last three times and without fail they have all arrived on time, my 4 arrived a day early in fact. Think about how many phones they are trying to track and process, pretty amazing if you ask me.
Both of the phones that I ordered at at "Preparing for Shipment" but I have been able to find them on the UPS site by looking up the package via a reference search.
Mine says preparing to ship/delivers 9/21 but I can't seem to find the order number/tracking in UPS by any search means. It just says it cannot be found.
Like other posts, I went to UPS.com and searched by reference #. By putting in your order # from apple and filling out the dates, country, and zip my tracking info came up including my tracking #.
Had an issue last year where my order was not updating. Had a tracking # but it was just sitting in anchorage. Called fed ex and was told the systems are so overloaded with all the phones it is taking forever for them to get updated. Sure enough my phone showed up on the scheduled day.

I have a serial number instead of the Apple logo!

I don't even know how to get a location code, but I actually live in Scranton. Also, how in the hell do people see when someone replies to a comment (as you did with mine)? I just saw your response by chance!

Update: I seeeee noowwww, the notification thing shows up on the top right!
Update 2: WTF!? I had 2 notifications, I checked 1, and now it's gone and I can't find notifications anywhere!? (in fetal position)

oh, hmm I'm not sure if you receive any kind of location code then. on verizon you're emailed a location code that gives a general idea of which warehouse your order is shipping out of.
heck, I WISH my order was prepping for shipment. mine is still processing
Haha I knew what you were feeling just today mine has finally changed to preparing for shipment. I am not worried though it does state that it's going to receive the holiday shipping. I am thinking that could mean two days or less.
Ordered a 16 gig black for at&t from apples website. Still shows "preparing for shipment" but i can track it via UPS's website since sunday night. it shows it departed Addison, IL yesterday afternoon but it hasn't reached Louisville yet. Hopefully I get it a day early.
