I got my HomePod, and I am loving it so far. Siri definitely needs major work, but it sounds so good, and as an interface to Apple Music it is amazing. I'd also like some better integration into iOS - like having an option to always show the HomePod controls on my iPhone lock screen if I am on the network.

I have a few Sonos speakers, and everything just feels so manual now, selecting songs in the Sonos app. I know I can use Alexa, but it is always hit and miss for me. Already I am having issues with the wake word - if I am in any room I want to say "Hey Siri" rather than "Alexa" now.

So my point is, I really want to buy a HomePod for every room now. I think I'll at least wait for the AirPlay 2 update, my main annoyance now is how laggy airplay controls are. I am also considering selling off my play:5 as well. Anyone else feeling the same?

Yeah, since the sound quality is comparable to all current Sonos devices IMO, I think the ease of use will eventually make me swap out my current Sonos system with HomePod devices. I know that Airplay 2 will make linking with Sonos a lot easier, but this just feels more natural since I'm already balls deep in the Apple eco.

It'll be interesting to see if they do a HomePod XL in the range of the Sonos 5. Many have compared the quality etc, but I'd def be interested in a "pro" model too.

Yes; my office is sorted. Now need one for dining room, kitchen, master bed room, children rooms, having one in the garage will be handy as well, and to be kind perhaps also one in the guest room. So I guess 7 more for now will do :)

Actually, I wonder whether they last in the bathrooms, and pool house...Oh and the BBQ deck and potting shed.

Might be overkill for a 2nd one in my bedroom. Maybe elsewhere but I am giving it some thought though.

It's a sure thing for me when Airplay2 hits. Maybe even before then.

No, but i'm considering taking mine back - sound quality is no where near my standards and I don't really want to listen to anything on it.

Siri however is really impressive, it appears to also use the microphone in any iOS devices you have near you - so in my noisey room with a fan full blast when it's on the other side I can practically whisper to siri and get stuff done - Google Home and Alexa are right next to me and they don't' work unless I speak loudly.

I have 2. I’ll get at least 3 more but not until both stereo paring and whole house audio is available as it doesn’t make sense until it’s available due to the layout of my house.

After testing HomePod with watching movies on AppleTV and being impressed, I am definitely buying another one once the stereo pairing feature is launched. I want to wait for a discount at a tax-free online retailer first however.

I'm looking forward to buying a 2nd HomePod so that I can use the paired/stereo feature when it's released.

A fun thing about these is going to be the updates. This is where the 'Apple' thing makes up for shortcomings. It seems they are taking some heat about Siri, so there's that for them to deal with.

Purchased 2 for kitchen and master bedroom, but, honestly, I wanted two in order to play with the stereo capabilities when available. Won't purchase more until that happens and until some time has passed living with these two. Am loving them so far.

One for now is best for me. I definitely want to make sure I get enough use out of this product before I would consider purchasing another one. Although if I had a secondary HomePod, I could certainly find other locations in my house.

I'm thinking of getting one for my mum. She's 74 and generally speaking, scared of technology. This evening, I brought my HomePod into the kitchen and let her listen to it while we sat eating dinner. I told her to get Siri to play all her favourite '60s tracks, and she was in her element. To me, it's what the HomePod is all about - letting people enjoy their music. It's not about focusing on the 'smart' bells and whistles.

After dinner she kept telling Siri to play song after song, and she was singing and dancing in the kitchen; it was a joy to behold!

That's awesome. Technology at its best.

I'll more than likely buy another when it gets a sale/discount. (or wait for refurb models).

Yeh I love mine, probably the best new Apple product since the iPhone (for me).

I am using mine mainly connected to the Apple TV so when they launch stereo I will get another (one for each side) and probably another one for the bedroom
