Yep bought a couple more this weekend for the house. Think this is the beginning for home speakers for Apple. A HomePod sound bar, larger HomePod Pro for more robust environments with generation 1 Homepods scattered throughout the House, I’m hoping is on Apple’s product road map.

The Siri and iOS integration is great. No 3rd party bridge or 3rd party app to mess with aka Sonos. It’s just works!

Yeh I love mine, probably the best new Apple product since the iPhone (for me).

I am using mine mainly connected to the Apple TV so when they launch stereo I will get another (one for each side) and probably another one for the bedroom

I’ve actually said this a few times. This is a throwback to the old Apple. Audiophiles on Reddit are losing their sh*t over this thing. HP measurements are putting thousand dollar systems to shame. Kind of funny to read lol. Needless to say I ordered a few more.

Now I just need 2 HomePod Pro Towers for the living room.

The sound volumes are a little weak in my open floor plan living, dining, and kitchen. I’ll certainly buy another to add in the mix with another one for the upstairs office or bedroom. That’s of course after Apple updates for AP2 and multi-room.

I'm thinking of getting one for my mum. She's 74 and generally speaking, scared of technology. This evening, I brought my HomePod into the kitchen and let her listen to it while we sat eating dinner. I told her to get Siri to play all her favourite '60s tracks, and she was in her element. To me, it's what the HomePod is all about - letting people enjoy their music. It's not about focusing on the 'smart' bells and whistles.

After dinner she kept telling Siri to play song after song, and she was singing and dancing in the kitchen; it was a joy to behold!

Elderly do very well with iPads... get er one if she doesn't have it already.

Yea, HomePods can evolve into a true "full smart house" experience.... one in every room... with versions that can be built into the wall/ceiling... and versions that can be wireless for the back yard when needed.

I bought a second one and probably will be buying a couple more. I'm anxious for the stereo feature to come out when the release iOS 11.3. I am running the beta and it asks to make a stereo pair but can't because the software on the HP needs updated.

Yes, definitely.

I want a second one for my living room, one for the bedroom, and a couple for my kitchen/dining area.

It's great. I expected it to be a great speaker and i'm not disappointed. I'm impressed.

edit:
I agree that the maximum volume does sound a little on the quiet side (but loud enough). I believe that if you put another one in the same room though each one will be able to throw sound where it is needed a little more effectively rather than a single unit trying to do all the audio beam-forming itself.

Unless there's going to be better functionality with what we currently have and a LOT of bug fixes, I might send mine back, let alone get another.

Yup, really impressed with the sound quality, and the ability to hear your voice at a normal volume from the other side of a room over music.

Also seems a tipping point for things like smart lightbulbs, so I’d get more tomorrow if I had the cash. One for the lounge, my office, and the bedroom. And a second for the kitchen / dining room when Airplay 2 is out.

I read this analysis (quickly, since I only understood about 10%.... ??Munson-Thurman Curve??. But I now feel more knowledgeable and have professional justification for my purchase. ;) Actually, that $350 feels like a bargain now.:D

I'm not sure how old you are, but the Fletcher-Munson curve was usually available via the "loudness" button on old stereo receivers.

To answer the OP, I plan on buying another for our kitchen, and maybe the bedroom, too. I'm not sure if I'll get another to run stereo in the living room, when that option is available.

Yes! Hurry up and launch in Canada so you can take my money!

If you don't live near the border where you can have one sent to a mailbox service, try this:

I’m going to Dallas next week and my hotel is 6 miles from an Apple store. I’ll grab one down there thanks.

Waiting for Multi-room function then getting a second one to add to the one in my living room. I purchased some speaker stands and have the existing one set up; the second one will go at the opposite end of the room.

Are you finding it adjusts acoustically better off a stand rather than the top of a cabinet/piece of furniture? I'm still playing around with finding the "best" location to put it in my open space.

I'm planning to get additional HomePods but I'm feeling inclined to wait until Apple lowers the price for those that have EPP. I'm a retiree but I'm still allowed to participate in my company's employee purchase plan. When Apple releases brand new products they usually aren't discounted under EPP for the first few weeks or months. Once the "newness" wears off a little, EPP participants can buy those products at a discount. For HomePod it will probably be around a $20-$25 discount.

Of course, if I buy from Best Buy instead I get rewards points. But that would only be about $10 worth of rewards points.

I'm no Audiophile, I know what I like and that's good enough for me but yes, I think having it isolated on a proper speaker stand (3' high) has improved the overall sound quality. Based on what I have gleaned from the Apple website, I really do think that having a second one at the other end of the room, at exactly the same height, will produce a superior sound in my environment. If that doesn't work, or I don't like the effect, then I will try them side by side (like a traditional stereo speaker system set-up) but I do not think that is what Apple intended.

There is no true Stereo, so I would get another one just for single speaker bedroom or workroom use. Because with Stereo you need to be sitting at a sweet spot. For working around a room or just bedroom music or workout, the HP sound quality is quite good at spreading the sound all around you.
