Yeah, larger normally means more weight. But I just hope Apple can get better ergonomics because iPhone users could benefit from a modern feel.

I'd like to see the square off edges like the SE; there was a nice looking render of one that I think could prove to be quite popular for a redesign. I thought it was very sleek and modern looking.

The 5S/SE design is one of the best in the series. If they brought a notch less experience with minimal bezels, I think the SE2 could be a huge seller.

I think in SE 2 would be a decent selling phone regardless with minimal bezels or ’notchless’. I don’t think the consumer cares about that those two things, I think they just want the 4 inch form factor and something they can easily manage one hand that’s inexpensive.

Even if that's the case, the 4" line is in a desperate need of a refresh since it's a 6S being sold in 2019.

Technically, the 6s is being sold by _some_ select carriers new, but not really marketed either, nor is this being sold direct by Apple new. But that’s a totally different phone form factor (Which holds some appeal with the 4.7/5.5), even though they share the same internals. But in the same respect, Apple did have multiple mini SE launches that was being sold on clearance recently, which will likely was nothing more than backstock that wasn’t selling through cell carriers, shipped back to Apple, therefore they clearanced it.

Yeah, the internals still need a refresh though. I think there could be a market still because Sony still catered to the smaller size phone market segment.

But the S10e also redefined a compact device because it has flagship caliber specs w/ a 5.8" display w/ an incredibly light form factor. The XS has some weight to it that the S10e doesn't have.

Samsung has to watch its back with the s10e. Any success in the android market is quickly replicated. Flagship caliber specs is an amorphous term these days.

The app download control is such an underrated feature. I have that with my daughter where I get the alert anytime she wants to download an app. Such a great tool.

I honestly never knew about this. How do i set this up so I get an alert when my son downloads something?

Just to add, the new Apple services didn't captivate my interests either. Don't need or want those services.

Same. It’s nice to see the expansion with Apple divulging into other avenues, but none of which appeals to me. Maybe later on I might change my perspective, but place me in the category of wanting to focus more in iOS expansion/improvements.

Samsung does have Samsung pass which also saves your log in details. The issue is getting all the passwords out of iCloud Keychain and into Samsung pass. It’s too time consuming and tedious to do one by one.
and also samsung pass is not having mac os and windows application, so useless

I’ll add Apple Pay needs to up its game. There are very few places where Samsung Pay doesn’t work. I can’t use Apple Pay at most stores.

Genuinely curious, can you expand on why the ultrasonic fingerprint reader was not ready? Like what was your experience that leads you to believe that?
Sorry for the delayed response.

Well - I initially thought it didn't work reliably. However, I have since bought the S10+ because I was missing the screen size coming from an iPhone XS Max.

This time around it seems to work really well. I am thinking I didn't give it enough of a chance and/or didn't quite learn the correct pressure/spot. I probably should've given it a few more days before giving up on it the first time.

I'd be jumping ship to Samsung if the Apple Watch is not such a polished and featurefull device. As soon as the Galaxy Watch catches up, I'm leaving Apple's expensive shackles. Yep, might not happen at all because even the leaked One UI in a watch looks damn clunky. :D
The Galaxy Watch has caught up. It's fantastic.

The phones manufactured in China, imo, have been eating away at Samsung also. Most of those phones don't make it here to the states. But most of them provide 85%(estimated) of a Galaxy at 60%(estimated) of the price. If I were Samsung, I'd be more worried than Apple. I think, to many, ios and the "ecosystem" is the differentiating factor. Love it or leave it.

You have absolutely no idea.
Samsung’s market share in China has been completely eroded, I believe they are currently under 1%.

Yeah definitely I was using Airdroid with the Mac.. But you know it kept missing some calls or texts and I was quickly getting frustrated at the Note 9 because of heating up in simple tasks.. Plus everyone I know uses iCloud photo sharing and FaceTime..

My big problem also was how big the Note 9 is, I got so used to the iPhone X size...

I don't know man, what annoys me the most is apps like Instagram not being optimised for the Android platform.. Pictures don't have full quality and then stories are out of the borders of the screens.. Pair that in with the lack of CarPlay on my car which is annoying as hell as it doesn't support Android Auto.

Then it's frustrating yet gain to go to people's house and they have Apple TV and sharing things over there alongside everyone FaceTime to calling me.

It’s why a lot of people prefer apple, it’s ecosystem is unmatched. As a user the integration offered cannot be ignored.

My new S10 is 25% lighter than the XS Max. Apple has to get their ergonomics together.

But they do. the Xs is Made from stainless steel where as the the galaxy is made from aluminum. Aluminum is lighter but also cheaper.

Yes, and it's also about 15% heavier than the S10+. Ergonomically, it's a bit heavier.

Yes because it is constructed from steel which is stronger than aluminum. Aluminum is also cheaper, which make the galaxy seem overpriced for the materials used when compared to the iPhone.

It’s Definitely compelling on the hardware side and aesthetics, and of course it offers a round design over the Apple Watch. If It was completely compatible with the iPhone, I would definitely invest in the ‘Samsung Gear’.

I think the round design is an anachronism of the analog era where watches consisted of 2 or 3 mechanical hands sweeping in a circular motion across the face. Smart watches do so much more and the iwatch infograph shows where you can still do the sweeping hands while giving you so much information comfortably in a case that is not circular.

Oh I totally agree. Since I got my Samsung I've had too change my name 3 times after all the hacking.

Guess it’s better then having your identity stolen or any personal accounts being compromised, that would be irritating.

It's weird because it happens all the time when I'm on Samsung devices but when I switch to Apple, I suddenly no longer get my identity stolen.

Well your lucky, it usually take a while to find out.
Which Samsung tizen phone do you have?
You know the same operating system as the galaxy watch the one with all the security vulnerabilities.
