My local stores have them in stock too so there doesn't seem to be a huge demand.
... until they ran out and now say expected pickup on Dec 5th... At least here for any 42mm Nike model within 100+mi

decided this would be my series 2 watch. i like it so far, my one surprise/slight disappointment is that there are only 2 color choices on the branded faces. white and "volt" (yellow). would love to throw a blue or a red on there.

i got the silver aluminum with the volt band--anyone else with different case/band combod have different color choices too?
[doublepost=1477707607][/doublepost]also: this might be covered in another thread but does the nike app *only* track running? i need to use an elliptical my knees are bad

There's a separate Nike Training Club app that covers other types of workouts. I haven't looked at it, but I imagine it should cover elliptical. But at that point, you might as well just use the Apple Workout app, or another third party app, unless you are deeply committed to the Nike ecosystem.

The end of the day now of the 28th and finally shipping :) and its 100 miles away will arrive Monday!!!! Happy Halloween to me!!!!

I wasn't really waiting but I decided I would probably buy that one because it comes with more faces and I prefer the strap. I feel like if you're going to have a rubber strap at least make it look sporty don't make it look like A "wannabe" to be regular strap. Plus better fir swimming and for the arizona hear in summer with the holes. Infinitely more adjustable too for my slender big wrist weird size.

I own a first get and decided to stop by the Apple Store around the corner today just to see if they had any series 2 ( which of course they didn't). I then asked after the nike remembering release today to which they replied "oh yeah nobody remembered they came out today, i think we have them all"

All but the 42 aluminum with white band was in stock at Scottsdale Quarter (scottsdale, arizona) so I picked one up.

first off it feels quite different than the first generatio. something about the casing is different or maybe there's more stuff crammed into the inside which makes it feel more dense? It's incredibly hard to quantify but the first generation Apple Watch feel substantially cheaper in hand in the series 2 at least the Nike edjtion (I'm sure other sport versions too) which presumably is the same apart from the band And a logo here and there.

Anyway. I set it up in store as my hotel wifi is craptsstix. Restored from my original took about ten mind.

My literal first half hour impressions are the watch feels higher quality (it felt great before) and i prefer the nike sport band. Frankly for anyone wanting multiple bands or a real
Sport band i cant see why you'd get any other version of the sport as these bands are exclusive to the watch purchase, you get more faces again exclusive, and Nike app. At least for now there are perks.

Edit*

It occurs to me that perhaps the difference and feel is a result of them changing the glass to a newer generation that is perhaps more dense or slightly smoother or the casing is a second generation which is perhaps more resistant to chipping and gouging

Its A LOT faster than the first gen too. Feels more like a 1-3 jump as is often the case with the second generation products

Id imagine 2-3 will not he as much if w jump as 1-2 so since i plan on alternating year upgrades im good with this exception to go 1-2. I was going to return it if it wasn't a serious improvement for dictation speed as i have some spine surgeries and hand control issues and I'm pleased to report dictation keeps up just a hair under real time now no more four sentences behind then freeze and catch up. Its super smooth and works very well now which for me personally already and alone justifies the upgrade .

Apple Watch Series 0 (in a case) and Nike+

I don't see any reason why they made the Nike+ box longer, it contains the exact same things as the Series 0 box.

Did your Series O come with a wall charger?

Series 2 is slightly thicker and maybe heavier? It certainly feels different to me. For the first couple of hours (between unpairing and pairing two Watches) I wore both cases with my Sport Band. Apart from Space Grey vs Silver, the Nike+/Series 2 certainly looked and felt different.

But I'll get used to it.

I didn't know it was thicker. M ill take your word for it if it measures so. Visually it doesn't seem it but yah. It feels surprisingly different. Like a serious step up in materials used ehich ws we know isn't the case. Glad I'm jot alone in the feeling.

I am finding the nike band so much more comfortable. I rarely wore the sport band before as i found it thick and "sticky" here in az and when the weather cooled leather was nicer. This ine i can see ill be wearing much more. Im sire they'll end up selling them. I can't fathom that after s little exclusivity the bands won't be released.

I must've dictated literally an hours worth of conversation and I mean like talked for an hour I sent so many text tonight and got involved in so many text conversations tonight and only a couple of times did the watch kind of hick up which the series 0 I guess it's being cold would have crapped out so early in that whole process in terms of accuracy or being able to keep up so I'm very happy and then the speed with which app changes happen and doc motion and launching an even communication with the iPhone for those things which are necessary seems to be substantially faster. Everything about this is just a huge jump forward remind me of the original iPhone and the second iPhone much more than say iPhone 5 to iPhone 6

If the first watch released was like this I think that there would be a lot greater mind share into Apple smart watches but smart watches in general. It was really hard to demo anything to do with the first watch and not look like a complete chump who wasted money to be honest. Everything was so slow that for most people even checking the weather for the week was just easier to get out your phone. Now the tool has actually matured and become as useful as the promise suggested initially. So the future to me of the Apple Watch looks very bright and I think the more people that see what you can do and that it's responsive enough to do it now I believe this watch will gain popularity and potentially help infiltration of wearables in general. I didn't not expect it to be this much of an improvement in use or in feel

Im very happy and particularly so with the nike version. He improved possibilities for sizing around the wrist with this band and the reduced thickness plus the holes make it way more comfortable to me than the original sport band in significantly.

I think for anyone who prefers or is indifferent to the differences between the straps definitely the Nike one is the way to go

Yup. The charger that came with the S0 looks exactly the same as the one that came with the Nike+.

Yes the same as iphone. The series 0 just had a cable right. ? Does the regular series 2 sport have a charger? I don't recall but inthink the s0 did not have a wall charger sis it ?
