decided this would be my series 2 watch. i like it so far, my one surprise/slight disappointment is that there are only 2 color choices on the branded faces. white and "volt" (yellow). would love to throw a blue or a red on there.

i got the silver aluminum with the volt band--anyone else with different case/band combod have different color choices too?
[doublepost=1477707607][/doublepost]also: this might be covered in another thread but does the nike app *only* track running? i need to use an elliptical my knees are bad
Let me know if you figure a way to use the nike app with elliptical, I also use this machine.. I'm guessing keeping the phone in a arm band and choose indoor on the watch app may work..I'll try when I get my watch today .

There's a separate Nike Training Club app that covers other types of workouts. I haven't looked at it, but I imagine it should cover elliptical......
The NTC app dose't cover single cardio workout like elliptical. It is more of complete, structured and step by step workouts designed to guide a novice. More like a virtual personal trainer.

The NRC is a running app ONLY. Elliptical requires different algorithms to measure. You will need to use the Workout app (or some other app) for anything other than running.

I think I've been convinced to return my series 2 sport and get the Nike!

Best place to buy (as far as cash back/discounts/reward points)?

Yes the same as iphone. The series 0 just had a cable right. ? Does the regular series 2 sport have a charger? I don't recall but inthink the s0 did not have a wall charger sis it ?

It did come with a wall charger. I think people who are thinking it didn't are just forgetting about it because they never took it out. I almost never take out the wall chargers that come with my iOS devices and now with watches, because I just use existing wall chargers.

If you have a Discover credit card, they're doing 5% cash back on purchases from Apple.com -- which includes buying for in-store pickup.

Hurry though, depending on where you are. Here there's not a 42mm nike edition to be found in an Apple store within 200mi of Atlanta. All stores showing December 6th availability.

Yep, Atlanta stores went out of stock around dinnertime last night. I did get a pickup order placed, and it's ready for pickup, though it'll be tomorrow or Monday before I can get to the store due to other obligations.

WAIT WHAT? Why did my watch go Memphis to Tupelo and back to Memphis today?

Because your Nike+ Watch decided to join the Run Club before you did.

Why though? doesn't it do exactly the same thing?

And the same price, and there's your answer!

You have an option to buy an extra Sport or Nylon band with the Nike+ to make it like a regular Series 2, but the reverse is not true.

Does the Nike + Watch calculate Nike fuel points?
Just went for my first run with mine and it doesn't look like it does. It also has completely wrong start and end points for my run even though the total distance seems accurate. Not sure what's up with that, but I started and ended at the same location and the dots are off by about 500m or more.

I'm sure it's something they can easily update so I wouldn't worry too much. The app is overall much better than it was before the recent update. Not hiccups at all with the NRC app and music playing over bluetooth.

[doublepost=1477786141][/doublepost]Yes so did mine exactly the same thing... there was also a lag when i lifted my wrist to see distance before it updated but i updated the watch to 3.1 and it seems to fix that this morning. But then i went for a run this morning and it shows the distance but did not show any map at all.

And here I am at my local Genius Bar after my first pool swim. The Watch would not respond to touch after unlocking it from the swim mode. Resetting it with both buttons held down fixed it, till I tried it again. Now it wouldn't turn on anymore, and keeps rebooting on the charger.

So, refund and reorder, ETA 4 weeks...

Mine didn't show a map at first but then i hit edit run and then canceled it and for whatever reason the map showed after. Not sure if it's just coincidence and it needed time to load the map or if that somehow triggered it. I also noticed it won't show splits but it shows my splits in the Activity app under workouts.

I think fuel points do show up in the iPhone app and the website. It's just not displayed on the watch.
