Apple Watch Series 0 (in a case) and Nike+

I don't see any reason why they made the Nike+ box longer, it contains the exact same things as the Series 0 box.

I can shed some light on that. I have the same combination in 42mm. With mine, the Nike+ Watch is presented with the M/L strap, while my Series O was presented in a box inside a box with the S/M strap.

I pulled out my Sport Band's M/L section and found it to be shorter than the Nike+'s M/L section as well.

So not sure why they decided to do it differently in different countries, but it seems the Nike+ is presented differently with a longer (than Series O) M/L which is why the box is longer to accommodate that.

Yeh not sure why they shipped the watch with the M/L band. I use the S/M and I can't put away the larger band in the paper envelope

Because your Nike+ Watch decided to join the Run Club before you did.

Hahaha I've. Even a run club member since spring 2014 and have the other Nike watch that was made by tomtom

And the same price, and there's your answer!

You have an option to buy an extra Sport or Nylon band with the Nike+ to make it like a regular Series 2, but the reverse is not true.

It's a shame the watch cannot track elevation (at least through the NRC app itself).

Looks like I'll still use my phone to track runs.

And here I am at my local Genius Bar after my first pool swim. The Watch would not respond to touch after unlocking it from the swim mode. Resetting it with both buttons held down fixed it, till I tried it again. Now it wouldn't turn on anymore, and keeps rebooting on the charger.

So, refund and reorder, ETA 4 weeks...
Oh no. That is really Bad.

Call Apple Direct.

I ordered straight from Nike and it shipped on 10/28 and was supposed to arrive on 11/2, but got I got a pleasant surprise email saying that it will arrive tomorrow!

Damn, was gonna reserve the Space Grey Black/Volt variant when I got home, and have now noticed I can't get one through Apple until December now, do we think Nike Online will get stock of them sooner? Or is there anywhere else that has them in stock that I've failed to see?

Call Apple Direct.

Interesting you should mention that. I tweeted Phil Schiller and shortly after got a Tweet back from Apple Support. Dunno if they monitor that. Anyway, long story short, there's no quicker way to get a replacement, but worse, the most recent call tried to convince me while it's swim proof, there may be liquid damage which is not covered under warranty.

I'm just gonna get my refund and see about getting a Series 2, Nike+ or otherwise, later. Maybe if they had one as a walk-in.

Not covered? For real?

Not covered? For real?

I think I read it somewhere in these forums or one for the Mac sites quoting Apple's document. But the implication I couldn't press the buttons while in the water doesn't wash (ahem).

Maybe what they meant was under normal circumstances there should be no water getting in, unless it's beyond what the Watch was meant to do - eg too deep or too long so it went beyond the IPX rating, or maybe the seals were compromised in some way say someone opened it, or the Watch suffered previous damage.

It is covered by law (advertising) and by IOS licensing agreement.

Apple Watch Series 2 has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. It is also safe to wear it while showering or in a hot tub....

Didn't buy the Series 0 cause first generation, duh. A couple weeks ago I was in Dallas and wen't to 5+ stores looking for a 42mm but EVERYONE was out. On Friday saw the Nike+ was released. Did a little research and found there's no difference other than Nike faces and app. Looked on the Apple site and BAM! in stock at my closest Apple store (1.5 hours). Ordered, picked up next day and here we are.

Got a lot of learning to do.

if you take it to an unsupported depth and damage I suppose.

I bought my wife and myself AW Series 2 silver / white band (regular one) but due to some issues, i had to return mine. I was waiting to order another one from online but I did not get time to do that (what???). I came across the nike + version and read that they were released on last Friday. Wow, I noticed all the stores around me had the in stock on Friday (whole day) and Saturday morning. Of course, being a lazy person I am, and I forgot to order online and pick up in store. bY the time I checked online store again, all sold out and expected Dec 6 delivery. I was so bumped but I did try my luck to go to a store after dinner, and they did have them in stock and that was the color I liked.

Silver case with silver / white band. :)

Not sure where you are located but all Nike+ variants were available in Edinburgh today

Yeah I spotted that earlier on, not sure there's a way I could get to Edinburgh, or for them to transfer it to the Aberdeen store. Thinking I'm going to have to wait until December to get it, if I can't get it from anywhere else in the meantime

Anybody who ordered from Best Buy get a shipping notification?

Mine has been in "preparing to ship" limbo since I ordered on 10/27
Supposed to be delivered tomorrow and still no movement
