Lol, theres no point of showing up early with lines like that. I expected WAY more.

True, Sprint may have never had a line before for any phone. So getting a small line at each Sprint store could be seen as a nice event for them.

I'm thinking about stopping by...I won't be buying, but I'd love to try one out!(and consider getting a GSM Pre when they hit the US)

One question that I have, though, that I didn't think of before......what happens when the Pre app store starts to get lots of apps, and suddenly you have 100 apps on your Pre like on an iPhone? Do you have to swipe to get through every one to find the one you want? Or how many thumbnails can the Pre show at a time? This is one thing where the iPhone makes it pretty easy.

As far as I can tell there are pages in the app selector.

I think the fact that people even queued at all for the phone is a good testament to the feat Palm has managed to achieve. Thus far the phone has gotten mostly glowing reviews...people like AND people are queuing for it despite the lack of ads

LOL because of those small lines, there were bigger lines for the Storm and G1.

Yeah, and look how well they worked out! Storm tanked. Maybe the G1 has fared better?

Storm never tanked, they've sold like 2 million and the G1 passed a million recently, let's see how much this one sells.

So excited to play with the Pre all day today. Overall, the buying experience was pretty smooth this morning. So far, I'm impressed with the little device. I wouldn't trade my iPhone in for it... but... I like! Here's my blog post with more detailed impressions. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them!

Heck, when I read this from engadget, it really makes me think deal breaker:

7) Facebook and Google sync well. Not only does it have push Gmail, there's something called Synergy that grabs your Facebook and Google contacts and merges them together on your phone. You may not want ALL your Facebook contacts or everyone you've ever emailed from your Gmail account to be on your phone, but it's all or nothing at this point.

Of course, they will probably fix that or change it.
