Anyone with Best Buy Preorder Reports?

Yeah hopefully its just my particular store where that happens,and not nation wide
All I know is even with an Apple store in my area - only 15 minutes away - I sure as **** am NOT going to be there on release day. That would be INSANITY! I would end up in jail for doing something to someone. Lol. Too many people in that store and most act stupid.
For what it's worth, I work at a store next to a best buy. Fed Ex comes everyday to drop stuff off to both of our stores. They always come between 9 and 9:30am. And best buy doesn't open until 10.
it all depends on UPS. our UPS guy typically gets to our store between 9-10am but last year he didn't make it until 11am

My best buy scheduled me for an appt. at 10am and said if e store opens early that day, they would call me back and make it earlier. So here's hoping they get them early!
Oh cool. Your store must be more in the know. Mine didn't know when they would call me for an appointment because they had to figure out how many they were getting, how many employees were working etc. Plus she was taking pre orders for the white phone...

I ended up not preordering from BB when I went because there were some normal customers getting other phones and only 1 person working in that department. I'm just going to go to AT&T very early on the 23rd/24th and get one of the "devices available on a first-come, first-serve basis."
5 Minutes & Out
I went to the Costa Mesa Best Buy and, even with 3 people in line, I was done in 5 minutes with my 2 $50 gift cards (16 & 32GB in black). I should get a call next week to confirm actually availability. I was pre-order #26.
I went to get food next to an AT&T corporate store and the line was out the door (at least 10 deep). I hope Best Buy pulls through since AT&T & Apple royally screwed up their ordering process but at least it is guaranteed.

I pre-ordered at my local BestBuy in Beaufort, SC.
They said they were doing pre-orders for a while and then ordering that number of phones specifically for the pre-order customers, and then of course a bunch more for walk-ins. IDK if they'll stop doing pre-orders once they reach a certain number and then order them for those people.
The guy there also said they had already reached the number of pre-orders for white phones, so who knows about that. I told him on Apple's site it says whites won't be available til later this Summer and he sounded surprised.

Last year i showed up at best buy about 15 mins after they opened. I looked around and didn't see anyone waiting to get their iPhone, the BB rep told me i got lucky because they sent everyone (that was in the line) home because the iPhones didn't arrive early. Luckily the fed ex man had just delivered them 2 min before i walk in.
My store is not taking more pre orders at this time. I already got mine. I guess they're not over pre ordering which is good, so maybe your status on the list won't matter much. As long as your on it you're good?
After failing all day at work at Apple.com I went to my local best buy (central CT) on the way home. They gave me a copy of the sheet with my info, with the 16GB black circled and a big "x2" for two of em with the reciept and 2 gift cards. They said they'd call end of week or early next week to setup the appt. Was confident I'd get it on Thursday. Said they had about 25 or so pre-orders, with alot being 32 GB, so I'm hoping I'll be set. This worked out better cause when I pick it up he said I can add a line to get the cheap price and they'd switch the data around and what not (wife is fully eligible/primary line). Hoping for the best, but can't believe how bad Apple and AT&T dropped the ball today!
Best Buy told me that they were going to get them the night before and would have them before the store opened on the 24th... Only 14 People TOTAL pre-ordered at my best buy 
Regardless it's better then having to do it at ATT. They said that on launch day they make reservations and call you when to come so that they can help set up your iPhone. Sounds good to me. However, I still have to go to the ATT store to swap numbers because I am using somebody else's upgrade.
Best Buy might be able to do this for you, I'm adding a line to get the discounted price and then putting that on my line. The seemed fine w/doing that.
Correct...That's what I'm planning on doing. IF Apple comes through, I will cancel my BB pre-order. but I will keep the gift card for use later.

You can pay with whatever, it's just a $50 deposit. I saw people paying with cash and credit cards.
