Anyone's BTO shipped yet? What is the ship weight through the tracking #?

Glad to hear people getting their mbp today. Few questions for making it more clear in my head :

- Why some packages are heading either Anchorage or Memphis after Shangaï ? What is the difference between this two ways ?

- FedEx dont deliver on saturday nor sunday. If the package is at the local FedEx store, you guys think it's possible to pick it up there at the store on saturday/sunday even though there is no delivery ?

I see Southampton in the Apple tracking page, which code from apple is the UPS tracking code? I've updated the spreadsheet, really hoping I'm getting mine tomorrow, here's my output from Apple tracking:

I believe alaska is for the west half of the us, and memphis is for the east.

If there has been no attempted delivery, they won't let you have it
 
Question for Dutch people ;)

My MBP shipped today, but the tracking code is not available yet on the status page. Anyone know when the track code will be published?

My trackcode was available just a few hours after shipping. Maybe you can call Apple tommorrow for this code?

Hi,

I just ordered a 17 inch MBP, 2.3ghz, 8gb ram. and got this email as well.
I don't really understand what it means,
Have I been charged less than the price I was given at time of purchase? or am I getting a rebait?
As far as I can see there has been no price drop in the past few days.

im going to call and check about that because mine says its expected 3/7 but since fedex does not deliver saturdays i was hoping i can go pick it up i really want it over the weekend im going to try and call when it gets to that facility and try. i hope they will let me have it.

Anyhow I spent the extra $18 for expedited shipping and I'm not going to have it until the frekkin 8th of March! I'm glad you are getting your early, but I'm screwed without a laptop for a week and a half because Apple screwed up. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I just lucky?

That sucks.

Not sure why mine went through so fast. Ordered it last Sunday and it's here. Going to pick it up at right now! Had it shipped to my wife's store so UPS/FedEx wouldn't screw things up and for once they didn't.

I ordered mine yesterday, called in today asking if there was any way i could get it rushed since my imac is dying and I am working on a project. The guy said no, but he refunded my shipping cost (I did expedited) and even told me I should buy one in store and return it once my new one comes in.

The status updates you gave me earlier were quite accurate! My MBP is on in transit from Memphis, and will probably be in MO tonight. Looks like I'll be getting the machine tomorrow!
 
what the hell is wrong is UPS? it went from Ontario, California to Fredericton and i live in Vancouver BC, it would make more sense to go straight up north and not on the other side of the country and its still stuck here =(
Does anyone have any idea why it would go to Fredericton?

Actually, it just left Memphis at 3:58 PM! Wish they'd tell me where it was going to.

I don't have it either. Maybe you were dreaming the first time around.

Glostrup -> Helsinki could take something like 20 hours anyway if its not via plane... Still have a dim hope of MBP for the weekend, but certainly not likely.
 
I think Fedex's customer service reps are pretty clueless in general. Since my machine is only 4 hours driving away from where I am, I'm expecting it to arrive in my city tonight, and deliver tomorrow (despite the estimated March 8 delivery date). Being bored, I decided to call up Fedex and ask if it was possible the estimate was just being VERY safe. The guy told me that Memphis is probably going to hold it for a couple days, and they don't like to be so early in their deliveries. My machine has left Memphis already (in transit), so clearly, the guy did not know what he was talking about. I guess we'll see tomorrow, but I see no reason why Fedex would WANT to hold onto packages for longer than they need to, if the available packages can simply be sent out.

I'm pretty sure the shipping method Apple is using does not deliver on weekends, unfortunately. Tomorrow would be your last hope.
