Anyone's BTO shipped yet? What is the ship weight through the tracking #?

i am in almost the same boat it just arrived at my local facility at 7:50am EST and i am hoping it makes it onto a fedex truck today. if not i am going to call to see if i can pick it up its only 15 min away. I dont know what time their last truck goes out but maybe i will get lucky since i paid for the 2-3 day shipping im hoping it will get sent on a van :D I hope we can both get ours before the weekend!

Tried calling but its a 0845 number and its just an automated service, cant actually speak to a real person.

EDIT: got a real person and they said it was out for delivery even though the tracking system says its not! getting excited!

On FedEx vehicle for delivery
TULSA, OK

Whooooohooooooo!!!! Initial estimate was March 7th! I work nights and sleep during the day. Doesn't look like I will be getting any sleep today!!
 
mine just got delivered on an express van :D wish i wasnt stuck at work all day and could play with it! :( but at least i have it now!

Just spoke to UPS UK and they said that the germany info is basically clearance information to allow the package to clear customs when it arrives. Otherwise it would be liable for Duty! Apple obviously have an import licence from Her Majesty and its this info that UPS in Germany get to show that the Duty has already been paid, which in turn allows the item to clear customs without delaying shipment. Customs (HMRC) do not even have to see this item as its cleared already when it enters the UK.

Aside of the above the advisor on the phone said that it will be out for delivery on Tuesday 7th March!! :):):)
 
Check out this FedEx performance. I was expected to see my MBP on monday and finally today it's on the truck for delivery.

The time in between was so tight at the end of the trip. Congrats.

Ya, mine is out on the truck for delivery also! Made it from Alaska to Colorado through Dallas in less than 24 hours. That is, barring any problems today...Ill run over to my college mailroom after class at noon eventhough I won't have anytime to even open it until tonight. That's why will be tough. Oh well.

You'll never get anything out of UPS, their margins are wafer thin. Apple is the place to go :D

ours were flight mates mine arrived at newark at 2:27 as well :D currently nestled under my desk sadly unopened

How come you guys are seeing tracking info when Apple told me today that the tracking is only available once the package arrives in the UK? :confused:

Shipped on Monday (allegedly) and I guess it's been in a warehouse all damn week....
 
Mine wasn't supposed to be delivered until Monday as well, but I am typing on my brand new 15" 2.2 i7 right now! It's perfect in every single way. No defect as of yet. Knock on wood! Hope others get as lucky as myself! Time to enjoy my new toy...umm I mean my new workhorse.

Thats rubbish what they are telling you there. As soon as you get the Apple shipping notification email, you can go to the UPS website and track by Parcel reference (2nd Option down)http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_GB&WT.svl=PNRO_L1. Put the delivery reference number from the apple email in there and hey presto! What i then do is save the UPS tracking number at the top and search every 5 mins haha! Like we all do.

You can also get this from the Apple store Order Status page too.

I called them and they just game me some BS answer that it means nothing.
Whats with all the bouncing around. Apple quoted March 7th. But UPS told me March 9th o calgary...ugg...I hate UPS.

Ordered 2/27, scheduled delivery 3/7, expected delivery 3/4

I think mine will be delivered this morning. It was scheduled for Monday (7 Mar, 2011).

I think that Fedex puts an extra day in most schedules to account for the possibility of a delay in clearing customs on the imported product from China. Just a thought.
