Mine updated to preparing to ship overnight. Ordered sim free 256gb 11 pro max in silver at about 5:25am showing delivery on the 20th

Definitely your watch. iPhone would way more than .60 KGS.

i kinda figured, but wasn’t sure. Either way, I think this is the funnest part of the whole thing tracking lol. Hopefully the phones will start showing up soon!

256 SG Pro Max. Preparing to ship, arriving on the 20th, ordered at 8:04. Sim-free.

The reason Apple is processing orders so much more quickly this year is they don’t want you to have enough time to second-thought your purchase. And they certainly know that once you have the new iPhone in your hands, it’s gonna be extra hard to resist it and return it.
Yeah, no. Once your order is in a certain stage, you can’t cancel. In the “processing” stage, you can’t cancel and that is basically the stage right after you place the order.

Mine is preparing to ship, but what I find strange is, there are 2 amounts pending on my Visa card. One for the total cost of iPhone and another for $153.47

Yup...

I agree, one additional thought, you may not see the, “preparing to ship,” notice until next week. And even then nothing may happen until awhile later. I’ve been down this road more than once and I believe that when you get those notices seems to depend how far your phone has to be shipped. The days of the phones being shipped from the factory to you are gone. Right now there are various piles of iPhones stock piled in locations around the US. Your iPhone will come from one of those. If you live near one then your notices may come later in the week. Example: I live in east central Illinois and over the last few years my iPhones have come basically overnight from Memphis, TN. Therefore I may not see any change in status until Tuesday or Wednesday. I will however get my phone on Friday.

Also, I will not get it before Friday. Some years some people, only a handful may get theirs on say Thursday. But you could count on one hand, out of all the millions of phones shipped, all those who were lucky enough to be them early. Your chances are better playing Power Ball.

When did they start not shipping from the factory? Last year I tracked my Xr from China.

Anyone have success switching the shipping address? I called and spoke to customer service and they said it would be changed but haven’t received an email confirmation and my order still says the old address.

And they also told me the box to send in my old phone comes from the loan company and id have to reach out to them to change that address.. does this sound right?

Actually when your order is in the "Processing" Stage, you can cancel an order as there is a button to do so. Once your order status changes to "Preparing for Shipment" then you cannot cancel the order and you will have to wait till you receive the order and then request a refund.

I also just checked my UPS app. I have a 0.5 kg (1.32 freedom unit) package coming from AI in China. That’s definitely the only thing I have on order.

Apple’s packaging is pretty efficient too. My phone (11 Pro) weighs 0.188 kg (0.41 lbs), add the box, accessories, and shipping box, that should come in around 0.5 kg.

Apple needs to get it together because I think these phones should go on sale as soon as keynote is over

I though of this like why is not a thing. Like as soon as it’s announced why not pre orders go live after the even and make them for sale 8am next morning at the apple store?

They still do. Most people don’t get their tracking until it’s reached the US, sometimes the day before delivery, but you can use your phone number to search UPS tracking (by reference number) usually starting Monday and track it from China. It then hits Anchorage, then Louisville KY, then to a hub closer to your city before delivery in a matter of 3-4 days. I’ve preordered many iPhones and used both UPS and Flightaware to follow them until they land in my local airport (DFW).

I kind of agree. The “iPhone launch day” is a tradition they keep. But i wish it were more fulfill the order as soon it is placed. Rather than holding the phone till a specific date.

That is why they need to stop tradition because a person like me would order and look at the date and say nope. Then i look, note 10 putting out deals the same time and pixel 4 is getting leaked. Then, older models are been reduced and apple watch 4 on amazon is cheaper and the same as apple watch five except for always on display. People do not like to wait long because they tend to change their minds. No wonder they quick to lock down your funds as soon as you order and not allowing you to cancel

Mine says "Preparing to Ship" on Apples website/app and I have been charged the full amount of the phone to my card. Scheduled for launch day delivery:

The space gray 256GB 11 Pro shipping status changed to preparing to ship this afternoon.

I just hope UPS doens't mess up the delivery as it did with my iPhoneX. Had it shipped to my work address and the tracking said out for delivery and never came. I waited at work until 8PM. Grr...

I have never pre ordered two phones. Do they get shipped separately? I could see that happening just to help process shipments faster.
