I ordered a 16GB touch and it still is "Not Yet Shipped." Why? Is anyone else having this problem?
Mine has not shipped either and it was ordered at 7:00am PST on Sept. 6th.
I'm getting a bit impatient at this point...LOL.
About being shipped from the online store...I know a lot of you ordered way before me, seeing as how my order number is W313xxxx, but I just spoke to customer service about upgrading my shipping option from 2-3 day to overnight. He told me it's not gonna happen and that it's not going to be shipped until the official release date and there's nothing I can do about it. He also implied that lots of people have been calling in trying to do the same thing and he didn't seem to like it too much. Guess I'll just have to be patient.
Call again, you probably wont get such big jerk.
I got my ipod today, syncing right now, kind of slow wish they kept firewire.

My dad called and told him that we were under the impression that pre ordering meant that I would get it or at least it would ship when it is available in stores.
They told him they would expedite the shipping and he had no idea what that meant.
I checked later in the day and it was changed to 2 day shipping.
Did any of you happen to order applecare as well for the ipod touch? And if so did you receive that before or at the same time when you received your touch?
Ugh mine is a 309 order and still hasn't changed one bit... so I guess I am going to have to wait til the 28th.... arrrggg

Got mine this morning! Ordered 9/13, and it shipped on Friday. Did NOT pay for faster shipping, but it still got here 1 day earlier than Apple's Estimate and 2 days earlier than fedex's estimate. Oh, it's engraved, too...

Mine just went to prepared for shipment this morning, about how long between the status time and shipment have you guys seen and also when do you know what the serial number is, after it ships? Thanks!
I think it's about as varying as their shipping - guy above you waited two days and mine been sitting there since Saturday night.
