Fake for many reason, mac rumors please update title please!

Icons, many reason, clock has long arms that don't match ios8' passbook is totally different, safari uses incorrect color gradient and dots are too far away from the edge of the circle, the music app icon has the gradient the wrong way up and the music icon is too thick by far. The biggest give away is the settings app gta to know intimately having recreated it myself and the gradient and spokes everything looks wrong.
These are perhaps changes from more recent builds of IOS8.

FTouch ID is the wrong color and doesn't match the face at all, it's greyish. The iPhone5 clearly matches!

The ear slot is too high. Now that's subjective but I've never seen apple put it there due to space requirements of front facing camera above, there's not enough room on the fake.

All bezels too wide, precious leaks show much thinner and are confirmed in my mind as real with all apple tooling marks etc.
Don't confuse internals with the external case. Some of what you and others have observed (colors, etc.) may be simply the effects of room lighting / shadows and the camera and the angle at which the video was recorded.

RIP one handed use. :(

Apparently apple has created a one-handed mode that allows better access to the larger phones to one handed users. Once again proving they consider problems and solving them before creating them.

If you go back and look at the empty case image leaks, you will see heavy duty lugs for mounting the side switches, sim tray and buttons. My guess is these structural characteristics would conflict with an edge to edge display, hence bezels.

Good observation, that may very well be the case.

No, its not a joke. You can make your brain believe anything, if only you repeat it often enough. Tell yourself, „I can fly, when I wear a cape.“ and eventually you will find yourself jumping from a high building.
I don't need to see anything. All I need is to tell myself, what the pictures are supposed to prove.
These aren't the droids you are looking for!

Lol nobody is going to jump off a building just by repeating I can fly with a cape.

This has been confirmed fake thanks to the guys at Cult of Mac.
Cult or Mac has not confirmed that the device pictured is fake. Cult of Mac has no evidence that the phone pictured is fake. They think the pictures may be fake because the source of the pictures revealed his face / identity. That is Cult of Mac'a sole reason for believing the pictures may be fake.

As Cult of Mac notes, the device screenshots show a newer build of IOS8 that users and most developers have not yet seen, and Apple has made minor UI changes in newer builds of IOS8.

This leak today got me thinking that it was real, but it's not! The video you linked proves it. I didn't know that the Chinese make such copies of the iPhone. How does Apple allow that??

Why would they be asking Apple?

I mean, some chinese car manufacturer made something that can only be described as a 1:1 copy of a BMW X5:

The chinese copyright court ruled that they have nothing in common and threw out all charges.

Symbol order that include the FCC logo does not match. Assuming the symbols and their order are government-mandated, I assume they would follow the order they've been following for years.

Also, the number should be after the CE, not before...

Ars goes into detail in the link below about what these symbols mean:

Something else i noticed: the "leaker" covered the regulation symbols on the iPhone 5s
It would be pretty obvious if the symbols on both phones don't match, so the "leaker" covered it...

How can this not be real?

I think we can all be positive that this is not Android with a skin but a real version of iOS right? How can iOS run on a fake phone? It can't.

If this is not what ends up in the store, it's because it may be an early prototype. But it's real.

Yeah it seems too fast to be an Android skin. I honestly think it might be a very early model sent to manufacturing for testing. I hope they have reworked all the sensors and everything above the screen before they went into manufacturing. Its not gonna stop me from buying a 6, but it would be nice. :)

Does anyone have an idea of when that build os iOS 8 came out or if it ever showed in logs? I'm very curious to know if its a GM candidate or something.

This has been confirmed fake thanks to the guys at Cult of Mac.
Not exactly confirmed and not exactly by Cult of Mac but by (quote): "French site Nowhereelse.fr, which has been a reliable source of leaked parts, reached out to debunk this leak. It says that a Chinese leaker would never show their face in this kind of situation, and that many iPhone 6 clones come with knockoff Touch ID sensors."

Guys, here is my response for all of your reasons for it being fake:

1) The backwards time, apple logo, etc...it was recorded with a mirror.

2) The music and safari icon gradient...developers never got DP7 and the GM hasn't been released to anyone, and they might've changed the icons.

3) The weird clock hands...I personally think that this is a prototype version of iOS specifically for the larger screen, and it is possible that there was a layout bug.

4) The brighter phone, iMessage, and FaceTime icons...over exposure and/or saturation in the photo.

5) "It's a clone." Have you seen the actual clones? They are WAY more laggy than this phone, the fonts are weird, and the animations are way less sophisticated, such as the app opening animation where the status bar changes color before zooming in.

6) The spacing between the status bar and the icons...when parallax is turned on, the icons move as well as the wallpaper, so maybe the phone is tilted in the direction that moves the icons towards the status bar.

I'm not saying that there is no way it's fake, but just trying to be reasonable.

RIP one handed use. :(

Im not so sure. I had a play with a Note 3 5.7 the other day. It didn't feel LARGE and clunky. One handed was fine although I cannot reach the top right triangular area. So, Im keen on a 5.5, I think I will grow into it, pun intended.

LOL the Note 3 had our NZ weather app, which looks so sweet on my 5S, but it was SD like on the Note. Surprised about that. The app has a background photo with the weather type of the day. Looked ugly and fuzzy. On the 5S its sharp as a tack

Again, you spot very few 5cs in peoples hand vs tons of 5ss.
you don't have the sales numbers so you can't make assumption based on that.but you can go out and take a look around at people's phones, and those things can be identified from 100 miles.lol

I know someone who has a 5c

People can't believe that a country that actually makes them can't make a plausible knockoff? Really?

What does these sites/people even get out of creating a fake image/video? (if it's fake)
Attention? More visitors?
If it's fake, everybody will turn their back to that site afterwards. So that can't be good for them

Looks massive compared to the 4" screen. The more I learn the more I think the 5.5 inch will be the perfect size for me. Web browsing and video watching aren't great on my iPhone, and reading is understandably awful. It would be nice to upgrade my phone, rather than purchase an additional device (an iPad mini).

I like reading on both my 4S and Mini, but I think 5.5 will be the sweet spot that'll replace both (if it fits in my pocket).

i traded my 5s for a 5c. prefer the plastic back. I can toss it around in the garage and workshop and not worry about shattering it

Yup, I think that the 5C is probably the best looking iPhone to date as well. Not to mention all the inherent positives about plastic vs. metal.

Symbol order that include the FCC logo does not match. Assuming the symbols and their order are government-mandated, I assume they would follow the order they've been following for years.
That's a reasonable assumption. Here is another one. If a Chinese company makes an iPhone 6 clone, I assume they would follow the order Apple has been following for years.
Something else i noticed: the "leaker" covered the regulation symbols on the iPhone 5s
It would be pretty obvious if the symbols on both phones don't match, so the "leaker" covered it...
But he didn't cover the part that shows the different order of regulatory symbols. So what do we infer from that about the leakers intentions? He wanted to be debunked, but not right away?

<citation needed>

Just because the Chinese guy showed his face on camera with the alleged iPhone 6 doesn't mean it's definitely a fake. Stop jumping to conclusions. The only way we'll really know if it's a fake is if the Chinese guys decide to take it a part on camera, also.
