Now Apple should make an ad in which both the AT&T and Verizon iPhone are on a call and trying to load maps at the same time...FAIL

Don't bank on it. Out of all the UK carriers, only one offers anything remotely competitive regarding the iPhone (three network). O2/Orange/vodafone/t-mobile all have pretty much identically priced phones and comparable plans.

So much for competition.

I think three is way better than two... would be nice if Sprint came in to the mix...

Lol but which has better service?

It depends on the location of the user, for some AT&T is superior, for others Verizon is superior, as for me, well, you get the point, right? :D

Do you guys know data+call simultaneously can only be done on a 3G signal for AT&T. I dont know about you guys but there has been many times where my 3G drops to Edge and I can't access the internet, that or the 3G is just too damn slow.

I meant in regards to the pics you posted. Seems like Verizon beat out AT&T.

My guess would be that they allow Facetime over 3G to counter AT&T's boast that Verizon can't do data and a call simultaneously.

I would say with all the network upgrades they've been working on, it is a possibility. It would be a cool move if they did.

Well, you're wrong, verizon probably had all these towers next to the building they were in

yes, cause inside a Verizon building the day they showed it off with tonz of m-cells is so "real" while att in real world.

No I wasn't. Verizon probably placed a bunch of microcells in the building but those pictures display a Verizon iPhone with 'better' service. Anyways, here's my phone. Can't make a call and use data simultaneously either, no photoshop :D
Please appreciate the sense of humor.

Until FaceTime on iPhone works over 3G, I don't see the point. Because the only times I'm in a wifi network is at home or school. Which in both places I have my laptop, which has Skype, iChat, FaceTime etc.

This of course doesn't change my mind about getting the Verizon iPhone on day 1, but I just don't really see why FaceTime is so cool. 4G/LTE will most likely change this, but that'll be a whole new phone to discuss.

P.S. How can you videochat on Skype over 3G but not FaceTime?

Doesn't FaceTime open a data connection for the video portion of the call? If that's so, since you cannot use data and voice simultaneously on EVDO, FaceTime isn't even possible on Verizon's network.

Voice and video both go through the data connection, which would have no bearing on verizon using FaceTime on 3G.
