Does anyone else have an issue with new screensavers not downloading? I have had the Apple TV for 6 months now and it started off rotating between 4 different videos. I had the setting to download new content daily, yet I have still only seen the same 4 (San Francisco, Hawaii, London, New York). I changed the settings to Weekly, Monthly, and even Never and then back to Daily after a few days on each but nothing changed.

I have a 32gb device and just a few streaming apps on it. Is there a way to tell how much free space it has? I've just seen the screen that shows how big the apps that have been downloaded are.

It also usually just repeats the San Francisco night video over and over at night. I have updated to the newest version and the same issue exists. I've contacted Apple as well, but I haven't seen anyone else mention this. So perhaps it is only my specific device that is having an issue?

I have the same problem. I don't feel like it cycles through content very evenly. I haven't seen any of the new videos either.

No but the files, while apparently reduced, are huge. Even so that there is an actual warning about data usage when you enable the screensaver.

Yeah, the entire library of videos, including the new ones is 11GB in size. The Apple TV probably caps the cache to some extent, meaning you will wind up probably using a few GB a month just downloading these things.

See how frequently you have it set to download new ones. If you have it on "monthly", it will not change things out very frequently.

It's not misspelt when you live in the UK, you know the place that invented the language you ruined. You should realise (with an s) there are other countries outside "good ol' USA", makes you look a bit of an idiot.
*misspelled
Your welcome.

If he or she is from the UK, Canada, Australia or NZ, that's how prioritise is spelled there. Webster, I think, Americanized its spelling along with many other words.
Webster taught us a lot of things;)

Wrong again - "Misspelt" is British English (the original), and "misspelled" is an American adaption. You really need to learn the origin of your language.

Whilst on the other hand, "you're" is universal to both countries and you just got that epically wrong. YOU ARE WELCOME.

Amazing.
Merry Xmas all has anybody managed do get these new screensaver s to auto download, mine is still showing the old ones

One of the best features on the fourth-generation Apple TV is its high-quality aerial screen savers that play on the screen after a short period of inactivity.
How pathetic is it to have to announce emojis and screen savers as important selling points.

It's mid-January and I didn't know there were any new screen savers until a couple of days ago when I restarted my Apple TV. Have you restarted it lately?

Actually, your discourse about the origin of the English language is inaccurate. Rather than having been "invented" in the U.K. (I'm not sure how one invents a language), English is a West Germanic language that originated from Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Britain in the 5th to 7th centuries AD by Germanic invaders and settlers from what is now northwest Germany, west Denmark and the Netherlands.

So, just like the royal family, the language came from Germany.

Same here. Still gliding over NY, SF and London. :(

Restart your Apple TV.

I, too, would like to see more added. The new ones are great, but there are so many interesting ones that could be added. The monuments of Washington, DC; Chicago skyline; Puget Sound; American National Parks (Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Great Smokeys, etc.); European castles; Scandanavian fjords; The Alps; coastal Greece; African bush country; Angel Falls; Ayers Rock. The list is practically endless.

I wish you could select which ones to use. Sometimes there are different ones that I like to use based on what's going on (like hosting a party).

You can control that under your System Preferences / Screensavers.

I, too, copy and paste directly from wikipedia in an attempt too look I like I know what I'm talking about.

But now that you've got a source for the files outside of the screensaver, you can run those files, no?

One of the best features on the fourth-generation Apple TV is its high-quality aerial screen savers that play on the screen after a short period of inactivity. The Aerial screen saver option on the Apple TV features an aerial view of different locations around the world, which Apple has added to over time to keep content fresh.

The Aerial screen saver picks a random video option from a data source maintained by Apple, and that data source was recently updated with 21 new screen savers. iDownloadBlog has parsed the data and shared direct links to each of the new screen savers that can be watched on iOS devices and Macs.

Screen savers are time-based and show off various cities and locations in slow motion, with the lighting changing based on the time of day. New screen savers of video captured in China, Dubai, Greenland, Hong Kong, Liwa, and Los Angeles have been added.

China:
- Day 4
- Day 5
- Day 6

Dubai:
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Day 3
- Day 4
- Night 1
- Night 2

Greenland:
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Night 1

Hong Kong:
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Day 3
- Night 1

Liwa (United Arab Emirates):
- Day 1

Los Angeles (United States):
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Day 3
- Night 1

These screen savers aren't likely to be immediately available to all users, as the Apple TV downloads new aerial content on a regular basis depending on your Apple TV settings. New screen savers can be set to download on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis in the Settings app on the Apple TV.
