I voted for Trump and don’t regret it, but I wasn’t really behind this. I appreciate the bullish affect because it helps keep fear in those outside in other parts of the world who might ever have ill intentions against us. But when it comes to the petty stuff I don’t find it beneficial. I think he sees it as a win for us but I don’t think anyone really cares that it was called the Gulf of Mexico. I guess in the animal kingdom this is a gorilla beating on his chest. Moving on…

no matter what Apple says about LGBT or saving Mother Earth or making trash woven cases. is just a facade for making more money. And people still believe Tim Cook is a benevolent guy which will give away money to poor people.

I mean, its just proof that their decisions like taking the charger away or making the package smaller is just for profit.

Yep. Well one thing we've seen, and it was obvious really, is that corporations see equality and inclusion only when it is convenient for marketing purposes. It's all a thin veneer over a steaming turd.

As for the charger thing, I think that's genuinely all supply chain mechanicals. They could get more phones on a plane really. Sending such stuff via surface is riskier and causes supply chain problems. Also getting the chargers, which are geographically specialised into the same box is a pain in the butt. But you can greenwash over that.

Just be honest Apple. Who are you really? Under the facade that is.

Speak up Tim!

I think it's the monkey showing its ass and all the other monkeys laughing at it and throwing poo.

Still a young company so reliability is always a concern. I heard the service is much more consumer friendly than Tesla and if you’re lucky enuf you don’t have to deal with them as much. Seen plenty of ppl happy with theirs so🤞🏻

Can't be as bad as Kia.

You seem like one of the more sensible ones and you may have your own reasons for voting that way but you seem to be confusing being the “butt of the jokes” with being the “one that’s feared and respected”.

Have you ever seen the Canadians boo a country’s anthem before? That’s not fear.

Define Constitutional Crisis
Google is free, but here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutional_crisis - I even bolded the most relevant parts for you:
In political science, a constitutional crisis is a problem or conflict in the function of a government that the political constitution or other fundamental governing law is perceived to be unable to resolve. There are several variations to this definition. For instance, one describes it as the crisis that arises out of the failure, or at least a strong risk of failure, of a constitution to perform its central functions. The crisis may arise from a variety of possible causes. For example, a government may want to pass a law contrary to its constitution; the constitution may fail to provide a clear answer for a specific situation; the constitution may be clear but it may be politically infeasible to follow it; the government institutions themselves may falter or fail to live up to what the law prescribes them to be; or officials in the government may justify avoiding dealing with a serious problem based on narrow interpretations of the law.

😄 What "constitutional crisis" are we in?

It doesn't matter if you think what the current administration is doing is a good thing or not. It doesn't even matter if the actions they're taking are actually positive or not. Several of Trump's executive orders and actions are in direct violation of the Constitution.

For example, it does not matter what some senator intended for the 14th amendment to apply to - it is written in stone in the Constitution. The President does not decide this interpretation, but the Supreme Court, which has already established several times what the interpretation should be. If you don't think birthright citizenship should be a thing, then you do what every single administration has done in history when they wanted to change the Constitution: by following the process the founding fathers established to amend the constitution.

You cannot just choose, as President, to override the constitution and its amendments, even if you think or know it is a positive thing. Doing so just makes having a constitution pointless and irrelevant.

You can put your little laughing emoji or put a disagree emoji all you want, but you should be concerned if a President is signing EOs that go against the plain English in the Constitution and its Amendments.

Caring about this....shouldn't be political. You should be concerned whether you're redder than Republican Texas or as blue as the ocean in California like....really?

Apple is in the process of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and changes are already being made to the Apple Maps app. When searching in the Maps app for Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of Mexico name is shown or the name is blank, but tapping into the area shows the "Gulf of America" wording.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is rolling out the Maps change in the United States today, so the name should shift for most U.S. users in the near future. Apple plans to change the name for all users globally in the future.

Google this week also made good on its promise to adopt the new naming, and "Gulf of America" is now visible in both Google Maps and Waze.

Google and Apple use data from the U.S. Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) when naming world locations, and GNIS updated its database with the "Gulf of America" name change this week.

Google has explained that Maps users in the United States will see "Gulf of America" instead of "Gulf of Mexico," while users in Mexico will continue to see Gulf of Mexico. In the rest of the world, the name for the body of water between Mexico and Florida will continue to be named Gulf of Mexico, but Gulf of America is shown in parentheses below. Apple might adopt similar changes outside of the United States.

When U.S. President Donald Trump took office on January 20, one of his first orders was changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Other countries do not refer to the area as the Gulf of America and are not required to accept the U.S. name.

Trump also said that Alaskan mountain Denali was being renamed to Mt. McKinley, but Google Maps and Apple Maps have not yet made that change.

I can’t face driving an R1S. It looks like a car my daughter drew in 2003. No joke. Probably a fine car.

The signature headlights are a bit "different", but apart from that the R1S is a very fine looking vehicle IMO. They've struck a great balance between sportiness and elegance.

Do half of the people moaning on here also get this upset when the CCP just goes renaming locations and redrawing maps when the mood arises? Manufactured outrage at its finest is on display here today, folks! 👏
Manufactured outrage is the party slogan for the republicans.
DEI, trans rights, egg prices, calling fascists and nazis what they are to name a few.

To respond to your other question? Yes, we do get upset over every human rights’ violation and oppose any and all authoritarian regimes. It’s why we hate Chinese gov, it’s why we support Free Palestine. Our stance has never changed.
