Apple Adopting 'Gulf of America' Naming for Apple Maps

It is unfortunately a wrong map information because the internationally agreed to legal name is Gulf of Mexico. Will Apple now willingly use more wrong names just to please the president? This is concerning.

There’s no such thing as internationally agreed upon. Do you think Germany calls itself Germany? No, it’s called Deutschland. Tons of places globally that have different names depending on the country and language. Anyone who is a world traveler realizes this. Here’s a few more examples:

its still wild to me how much power the president of the United States has on his own. WILD. I was never fully aware of it until Trump took power but there have been so many instances where I was like how the F can he just decide this on his own, overnight. its truly mind boggling to me. In fact, it seems down right authoritarian.

I would have gone with Gulf of North America, but Gulf of America is ok. I could see getting upset if it was renamed Gulf of the United States, but it’s not. It’s a gulf in the American continent. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was basically a tin foil turd Temu android tablet which has been assembled by chimps and painted by pre school children. Absolutely dire car. Went fast in a straight line, which was useless here because we have corners, but needed more attention than a borderline psychotic mother in law.

I can’t face driving an R1S. It looks like a car my daughter drew in 2003. No joke. Probably a fine car.

I don’t currently own a car (I live in a civilised city with decent transport). I keep hiring Polestar 2’s here. Seem fine. Might get a second hand one. Someone else can pay for the depreciation.

My favorite part of him saving our tax dollars is golfing more than any president in history while only doing it on his properties (which is more costly due to necessary security), so that he can have all of the secret service and staff pay for stays at his properties, all on the taxpayer's dime. I'm sure DOGE will be on top of it soon though.

I’ve only had the car for a year and a half and turning on the AC would stunk it up for a third of that time. Constant issues and each time I send it in for a repair I’d have to look forward to another.

I’ve come around on the R1S. While still a young company it’s a very capable car especially if you’re into off-roading.
