Oh gawd
200$? Im thinking more like 399$...Mobile carriers wont subsidize your iWatch just like they subsidize your 800$ iPhone.
Who ever pays that is an idiot. The samsung one is failing because it's too expensive. Apple doubles the price and puts their logo and thinks they will sell that high. Add on tech always fails. If you need to buy a 6-800 dollar phone then a 400 watch to make it work. No ones going to buy that.
I hear that they want Heath insurance to cover some of the price. All well and good but if anyone ever bought a health product or exercise equipment doesn't mean you actually use it. I have a $300 Bob XL punching bag that my roommates and I just dress in funny cloths and probably used for less then a month in the 3 years I had it. Or all the cloth hanger treadmills you hear about.
I want Internet access all the time, when I'm at the beach, in the shower, working out in the gym, running, surfing etc. That means iWatch must be water resistant and light weight. It should also be wirelessly charged, preferably while I'm wearing it.
If Apple can bring me that, I will buy one. Price is not that important. Anything below $1000 is OK.
So you don't have the slightest idea what this product will cost, let alone what it will do, but you already know that it will cost too much and not do enough for whatever it costs. And you also know that anyone who buys one at this totally imaginary cost is an idiot.
Fascinating. And I thought I was spending too much time reading this site.
Calorie consumption measured through the skin would be ridiculous advancement. I have no idea how it could possibly work, but I'd love to believe that they've figured out something nuts.
Most likely the analyst is getting calorie expenditure ( aka counting steps & motion ) mixed up. I want to believe though!
but still they (Samsung) were the first out.
Please call it a wrist notifier or iNote

Very cool, but thousands of dollars for a watch that needs to be constantly upgraded and with the usual planned obsolescence as new models come out?
Thanks, but I'll pass for now.
Everyone is assuming iWatch is a health tracker/wrist watch. Maybe iWatch isn't a wearable at all - could it be the code name for the new aTV. The next aTV could be called iWatch. Seems strange that all the aTV rumours died down as soon as the iWatch started being discussed.
Trying to guess what might be on the invitations / said at the keynote.
"It's time."
"The best the other guys could come up with is a watch that talks to your phone."

What? Name a post-PC device from Apple that, even at a high-end configuration, costs thousands of dollars.
If this costs more than a low-end iPad Air, I think most people will be surprised.
