Apple Allowing Developers Who Won Apple TV Lottery to Place Orders

I would be really surprised though if Philips didn't find a way for Hue to work with HomeKit. That would be a bummer.
Well I entered the lottery only so that I can get it earlier but I promised myself that if I won I would port one of my apps to the TV so I don't feel like I'm cheating the system. (even though I'm not required to and am sure a large number of the people who get one won't develop anything for it.) Looks like it's time to start brushing up on tvOS!
Not necessarily. The page said they would start sending out invites on the 14th. Depending on how many they are planning to give out they may be spacing them out or giving them away in waves. for a large enough bulk email it can take a while for all of them to be sent too. I'm not saying it' still going on but I wouldn't say that it's over for sure yet ether.
I always thought a developer unit should have some agreement that it's not to be sold within xx days (I mean, something reasonable, like maybe no sooner than 30 days after launch or something). Otherwise you get blacklisted from future lotteries, you know, nothing excessive like losing your dev status, but just a _little_ motivation
You can build apps of any purpose — it's almost like building iPhone apps, save for a few different features. It's stylistically different and missing a few capabilities iOS has, but other than that it's very similar.
I looked at the sign up page for awhile debating. But, none of my apps are ones that can be played on the TV and I don't intend on developing any. So I'll wait anxiously until the random date in October.
No invite here, oh well. Was only looking at porting a simple game, I'm sure others will manage much greater and more daring things!

My existing games could do with an update, but I have been too busy with my new game. Working on a tvOS version would probably have prompted me to get the updates done.
I have worked out how to adapt my existing games to the Apple TV controls, but not the one I am working on. My new game has lots of tapping on objects or dragging them. That won't work if you cannot see them below your finger. That is also true of many other games. I wonder how many bad ports we will see?
