You cant fact spiritual gifts, you cant because its spiritual. Facts are things for science but as science dont know everything, as for example how god is, so for us we are not allowed to bring facts about things in our religion, because you cant try god and by try i mean such as proofs in which you get facts. But we get spiritual gifts and they are our facts, in which we know things as the problem with body love and soul love. Body love is made only for two as our religion says two are made one flesh. And of course you can love many people at once, but this is soul love and this has nothing todo with body love. And the problem is here, when you love a soul more than your life, you would know that you should love only one person with your body and it should be of the oposite nature. And its not true that we dont love gays, infact because we love them, we are against gay marriage, because same gender is a sin in eyes of god and we cant allow sin in our church. But they can mary elsewere s they wish and if they want mary in our church, only with opposite gender. Am also not against you.

I am opposed religious church marriage, and while i am opposed gay marriage even civil one, do nothing have against it, as long its not in our church, you can freely do it, but it will harm you, not me.

Uh....no. Do you have any idea how long it would have taken to end segregation if the government relied on majority vote to make laws. I'm sure the majority would also vote to get rid of their income tax but keep their social security and medicare benefits when they retire, doesn't mean the government should make that happen. Not that they even could.

The majority can be wrong. That's why we have a constitution. There are plenty of things the majority would like to have that are morally repugnant. Though sometimes it frustrates me on individual issues, I am glad that there are protections in our system from the tyranny of the majority.

You should probably attack the right people though. Most of these people would not refuse you your right to live with and for your bible they will just use you a negative example. I will on the other hand deny you that most basic thing because religion has no place in modern society.

I will not and do not respect you nor do I think any gay person desires your respect.

Fortunately you don't get the choice of having liberals in your land there there, kinda of like athiests, gays, anarchists, and all the other flavors of people. Were always there and most of time you won't even realize it..Isn't that kinda cool

What you're saying IS hate. It may not be hate in the form of direct confrontation, but you're discriminating against other people and you're denying them equal rights just because it's your belief.

People DO have the right to attack religion, because of the amount of disgrace it has brought to humanity. It has been abused and used as an excuse for the deaths of millions of people. And now a days it's still being abused. The church uses it to control people, they want money, they don't pay taxes, they scare children in to believing in God, if not they go to hell, etc. Sure, not every religious person may, for example, scare their children with the idea of hell, but it does happen, a lot. And you, by believing in this God and being religious, you're just enabling extremists.

Also, it's not "your" land. How selfish can you get? Saying "it's not hate" after that doesn't magically make it okay.

I guess that nice contradiction sums up religion pretty well.
 
By the way macintoshi, where is your land? I hope it's Missouri. Because while I am not gay, I am a liberal Atheist and would love to be invading your land.

Absolutely correct, but marital status plays significant roles in many government programs and our horribly bloated tax code. The only way to truly separate government from marriage would be to modify/re-write these programs and the tax code, which, in my opinion, needed to happen a LONG TIME AGO.

We certainly have the ability to do whatever we want, but is it profitable (helpful) to us? No. Read below.

1 Corinthians 6: 12-20

All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

The point here is that food is good for the stomach (Lunch/dinner is a natural thing). But sexual immorality is not. Sex is good, in the confines of marriage, which is clearly stated in several places of The Bible is between a man and woman.

As for non-believers who say the Bible is made up, there is plenty evidence of lifelines in historical recordings. The only part, I admit, that requires true faith is the fact that Jesus rose from the dead to save our sins. This is the central tenet to Christianity, and what separates it from all manmade religions. The Bible has everything you need. Those who read it will understand that it has everything sufficient towards understanding God's plan.

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness

What you do is for me is out of care, as fare as i wont respect you too and you will be my enemy for life if you think so and i am not scared of you. But i am not searching respect of gays, certainly they search my respect otherwise why do they care for gay marriage in church? But let me tell you i have friends are gays too and i am well respected among them and they know how i think, but they do also respect the way i think, because i explained well why.

If marriage was made a federal issue (which is was via Loving v. Virginia), then the 14th applies to every type of law relative to marriage. In that regard, Prop. 8 should get trumped by the 14th, and SCOTUS should rule as such.

Consenting adult should have the right to do whatever they want! I don't see how gay marriage is even an issue anymore we've accepted it into our culture, its on our televisions, magazines, newspapers. Lets move on to the bigger issues like polygamy and public nudity and sex in the streets! There are too many restrictions on what consenting adults can do with their bodies!! You have the right to change the channel the same way you have the right to look away in public! It doesn't affect you so move on people!!!
