I find watching amazon video better through tv built in app rather then Apple TV..As for the TV app don't been rush for it the old way is better I find it rather annoying at times. Change is not always for the better. As long as you can watch what you brought then way change something that is not broke. If I could delete it off my iPad and go back to the videos app I would!

I am cutting the cord on Uverse in January once the College Football games are over, I will keep Amazon and Sling TV, might buy the new Apple TV, hopefully it will have Fox news soon

I'm just so happy I can watch Unsolved Mysteries.

Aside form that, their "original" shows all suck and they don't have much else.

But I'm glad it's here. Finally.
What ?!!!! Obviously you haven’t done your research. Plenty of original shows like Bosch, Goliath, Sneaky Pete and etc..... you should really check them out if you like action

Apple shouldnt support Amazon in any way if they truly are commited to protect privacy and free Internet since Amazon isnt!

They even keep installing cookies without your consent and browser options turned off on your machine.

I cant see a positiv in helping amazon with the bad company politics they have going on there! People should start using their brains and act accordingly with their behavior since they are the true creators of Companys monopolies! Amazon is no teamplayer they just keep looking out for their top managers!

Yeah, but I can buy stuff cheap, get it delivered next day, and benefit from their very good returns policies if there's any problems. Principals are fine... up to a point and I'm not cutting my nose off to spite my face.

I’m in the UK and I have the app. Try searching for an Amazon show. It should find it, and when you try to watch it you’ll be prompted to install the app. It’s like the iOS App Store - some times it takes a while for new apps to propagate across the stores.

Or the U.k!
It is on the UK store, but you have to search for it.
Finally though, proper scrubbing on Prime!
This is one of the main features I have been waiting for - trying to fast forward/rewind on the PS3 app is painful and pot luck.
Now I can skip through boring bits and see where in the program it reverts to interesting again.
This was vital for example when I was watching last series of Sense8 on Netflix - there is only so much of my time I can spend watching someone on a bed or at a party, when it does nothing to move the plot along.

I haven't contacted av-appletv-feedback [AT] amazon [DOT] com but If I've deduced correctly then app 'id545519333' is the key.

I'm in the United Kingdom ('GB' region on iTunes) but also have a United States (US) account.

The old listing for GB was:

Amazon Prime Video
by Amazon Instant Video Limited [ https://itunes.apple.com/gb/developer/id353141815 ]

Updated: 23 October 2017
Version: 4.8.2

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id454468674

The old listing for Germany (DE) had the same developer ID but a different app ID:

Amazon Prime Video
by Amazon Instant Video Limited [ https://itunes.apple.com/de/developer/id353141815 ]

https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/id457830447

The old listing for Austria (AT) was the same as DE:

Amazon Prime Video
by Amazon Instant Video Limited [ https://itunes.apple.com/at/developer/id353141815 ]

https://itunes.apple.com/at/app/id457830447

The new listing for GB is:

Amazon Prime Video
by AMZN Mobile LLC [ https://itunes.apple.com/gb/developer/id297606954 ]

Released: 06 December 2017
Version: 5.0

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id545519333

This is the same listing in the US:

Amazon Prime Video
by AMZN Mobile LLC [ https://itunes.apple.com/us/developer/id297606954 ]

Released: 06 December 2017
Version: 5.0

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id545519333

I, as a GB user, have safely uninstalled 'id454468674' and presume that DE and AT users can similarly safely uninstall 'id457830447', as 'id545519333' appears to be a consolidated app for all 155 'App Store Territories' [ https://developer.apple.com/library...nnect_Guide/Chapters/AppStoreTerritories.html ].

Therefore, if you remove the geographic region from the URLs then you should be redirected to your local iTunes Store, i.e.:

Amazon Prime Video
by AMZN Mobile LLC [ https://itunes.apple.com/developer/id297606954 ]

Released: 06 December 2017
Version: 5.0

https://itunes.apple.com/app/id545519333

These 155 territories include the US, United Kingdom (GB), Germany (DE), Austria (AT) and Japan (JP) - the five countries where "customers... can watch videos purchased or rented on Amazon", Belgium (BE), Canada (CA), France (FR), India (IN), Italy (IT) and Spain (ES) where "customers with Prime can stream a vast library of movies and TV shows at no additional cost" and 144 other territories which charge $2.99 USD or €2.99 EUR per month.

Of the 200+ territories in which Amazon Prime Video has been available since late 2016 ( https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20161214005486/en ), this therefore leaves a further 45+ other territories whose residents will still have to pay $2.99 USD or €2.99 EUR per month but will also either have to download the iOS and/or tvOS app from the App Store in the country closest to them, or access the service through https://www.PrimeVideo.com ( https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20171206005741/en ).

Or you can just not install the app and let the rest of us enjoy something we are paying for...

A likely story - you just fast-forwarded to all the group orgy scenes didn’t you?

No Dolby Atmos. No 7.1 Surround. Not even 5.1 Surround Sound.
5.1 lack is quite strange. Anyway happy to finally see it on tvOS App Store. Waiting for 5.1 audio....

Lots of Apple equipment I like a lot, but got off the Apple TV train years ago. Woefully under featured compared to the opposition. Never having bought video off the iTunes Store made this an easy transition for me admittedly.
? It is an Amazon fault, I have many apps on tvOS which use 5.1 even some games. It is just Amazon app.

Ridiculous. If people want to opt into selling their own data that’s on them. It’s not up to Apple to babysit people if they want to use this, or Facebook, or whatever and make that trade off. Ultimately it’s their choice (any not yours to make for them).

70% more profits for Amazon this year ..looks like you are not alone with that point of view but if we all want Steve Jobs doing business style still be alive and kicking in a few years ..it isnt helping making Amazon bigger and bigger. There are already signs Apple is going sloppy on the Customer support side.

-keep “Root” save and secured!

netflix isnt in upnext, considering i only watch netflix and amazon, i just use the apps

It’s not this specifically. It’s lots of other things I don’t like about the Apple TV. Used them up to 3rd generation.

Anyway, wan’t my express intention of being that guy moaning about a product I no longer use in a thread about said product, I’ll shut up :) Stumbled into thread because I’m still waiting for Amazon to update the Kindle app for iPhone X.

The TV app is supposed to drop "by the end of the year"... come on!

Apple and Amazon promised "later this year".

Nothing like waiting til the last minute.

It's been 3 months since I bought my ATV, and helped boost Apple's 4th quarter earnings results, waiting for features I should have had from launch.

I feel so used and dirty.
