just watched the grand tour

reminds me of apple when steve was in charge instead of this pc correct dimwit

Apple and Amazon promised "later this year".

Nothing like waiting til the last minute.

It's been 3 months since I bought my ATV, and helped boost Apple's 4th quarter earnings results, waiting for features I should have had from launch.

I feel so used and dirty.
Nothing a quick shower can't fix.

The TV app on Apple TV is actually really great, but lacking Netflix kind of kills it. Means you have to go through two different UI's for different types of content.

Apple shouldnt support Amazon in any way if they truly are commited to protect privacy and free Internet since Amazon isnt!
They even keep installing cookies without your consent and browser options turned off on your machine.
I cant see a positiv in helping amazon with the bad company politics they have going on there! People should start using their brains and act accordingly with their behavior since they are the true creators of Companys monopolies! Amazon is no teamplayer they just keep looking out for their top managers!
Finally! Someone is bringing the good fight! My love goes out to Google for that move!
70% more profits for Amazon this year ..looks like you are not alone with that point of view but if we all want Steve Jobs doing business style still be alive and kicking in a few years ..it isnt helping making Amazon bigger and bigger. There are already signs Apple is going sloppy on the Customer support side.
-keep “Root” save and secured!
Just fine by me! Btw here is that bluepill you asked for.
WARNING: Possible disgruntled Amazon employee sighting!
Beware.

Why are you so dead set in spoiling this thread?

At least Netflix content is included in the Universal Search function. It could be worse.

The shows have Dolby 5.1 badges in their descriptions where applicable, so I’ve got to assume this is just a bug with the app. Why would they list the shows as being in 5.1, when it’s not available?
The content has the feature... you just have to use a non-poop device.

He was actually referring to the fact YouTube on AppleTV has no 4k, no HDR and no sign it ever will on an AppleTV.

word online is the app was done in summer, I think Amazon just agreed to "end of year" and stalled until the end of the year to avoid hurting sales of their fire tv boxes.

I must be only person who doesn't understand the TV App. it's really clumsy for me and never adds in the next episodes correctly.. for example I finish a episode and then I click next episode and it will play the one I've just watched.

Yeah, but when they designed the app for the Apple TV they had to create the badges and include the code that pulls the 5.1 info from their database. You wouldn’t do that if you weren’t supporting the format. Even if they just ported the app for ATV from another device, leaving those badges in there is just asking for customer service nightmares. No project manager would let that fly.

Watched a snippet of Star Trek Beyond and my Denon AVR reported it as "Stereo", so indeed there is no 5.1 audio. Hope this gets fixed ASAP.

I like how most of the movies I bought on Vudu and iTunes show up in Amazon as well, thanks to MoviesAnywhere. Great service.

maybe the integration with the TV app saves this thing, but i was surprised to see the same crappy UI that's in the Prime client in my samsung TV. with 10 trillion categories on the home page, there might as well not be any categories.

i'm happy to have prime videos directly on the ATV, but amazon has to re-think this UI.

As if Steve didn't let petty problems between Apple and other companies to delay or prevent products to be released

unlike captain cook he made sure apple delivered

there's a reason he's so revered , steve was a genius

apple nowadays are utterly pathetic in comparison

I’ve also noticed that “Up Next” always shows the latest episodes of my shows, even when I have multiple episodes of a particular show to catch up on. So if I click on the show, it skips those back episodes and takes me immediately to the latest one.

Little UI issues like that prevent it from being great. There’s still no good central place to keep track of all the various shows on different services. It’s a shame.

Finally, this is great news! Love the fact that they integrated into the TV app as well... AppleTV is is finally getting some well needed traction.
