Still one of the biggest scams in history. It's like charging regular price tax on clearance items. Yet I have paid this ridiculous tax multiple times.

Same here
I'm on the phone waiting about an hour with AT&T and the web not working we are on small business. Anybody got through the phone with AT&T?
I was able to get in pretty quickly using the iPhone app, and would have probably placed my order in no time,
BUT they won't let you change your default shipping address, even if you switch it under your Apple ID account info! I think it's probably tied to your AT&T account. I don't know, but I had it shipped to my parents house which is 200+ miles away.
I'm trying to edit the shipping information through the email they sent me once they order has been placed, but it is still not letting me. And I'm also afraid to mess with anything for fear that they'll end up shipping it very late.
Will this be the case if we walk in the store? I just ordered through the App store and wanted to change the shipping address to my new addy in LA. Now I almost want to cancel it and walk into the store and buy it if they are charging us tax on the full unsubsidized price?
I lost my unlimited data with Verizon.
Does anyone know exactly how this works? Will I get a prorated portion of the 2GB on the day I activate the phone, or do I need to begin conserving data now?

Yep, always the case from subsidized (phones for the most part) products in CA, from any provider (ATT, Verizon, Sprint, Apple), no matter where you buy it from.
Well damn, I guess it is what it is.![]()
I dont think they start taking phone order until either 3am or 6am
No way to avoid it, so pretty much!
