Keep waiting. Apple will allow sideloading when MS, SONY, and Nintendo allow the same.
So since Microsoft has allowed sideloading on Xbox consoles since 2020, how much longer should I wait for Apple?

You got 1 of 3. Where’s SONY and Nintendo?

I shouldn’t include MS as allowing sideloading either. What MS supports is not what Epic is asking for.

Apple’s lawsuit is ridiculous. So they take 35% on in app purchases for games, but do t when you order pizza or items at Best Buy. It’s strictly done on certain apps. Why aren’t they taking 35% from everyone? Because they’d never survive if they had big businesses suing them too.

It’s more complex than that. There are some exceptions and stuff like that : Apple takes only 15% from subscriptions which of at least 1 year or more (30% the first year), allows only one category not to have to use in app purchases ; reader apps, where the developers are authorized to tell customers about payment methods by email since that recent Japanese lawsuit (this is what Spotify did but their update eventually got denied; Spotify in 2017 also sent automatic e-mails to subscribe when a subscriber created an account, then tried to redirect the users on the browser to pay which is the reason for the heated relation between Apple and them). There are also advertising campaigns managing apps (where IAP is not needed if the managing app doesn’t display the ads) which led Facebook to complain about a month ago when Apple updated its guidelines (Facebook said they never had to use in app purchases for that kind of app but now Apple decides they do). The last exception if I didn’t forget any is physical gift cards, which can be purchased with other payment methods than IAP. I have no clue about the Best Buy situation as you say, but since they sell physical stuff, their app MUST use purchase methods other than IAP.

That still doesn’t make sense. The market isn’t iOS apps. It’s mobile apps. You have Android to create your app.
iOS and Android are two different Operating Systems. Code written for iOS doesn't run on Android and vice versa. You can't just get up and decide to abandon one of them for the other, especially if you've already invested time, money and energy in learning to write for one of them.

You are the one who is not making sense.

The rules regarding the App store, and use of Apples IP/API's etc. was well documented (and adhered to by Epic) long before they decided to go rogue and intentionally break the T&C.

They made their bed and lost their developer account as a result.

That’s not what makes a market. I have a choice if I want to make a mobile game.

Oh dear....and it was going so well....a 500 million dollar fine so thats their moral high ground down the tubes.....

Good. Hopefully it’s a start to addressing what mess we are in with the gaming industry with so much focus on micro transactions.

It's so terrible. It started with people selling high level accounts, but at least it was still outside the system. Then the games themselves did it but still with reasonably priced stuff that actually helped you by giving you stats or movement speed. Then it went to cosmetic stuff way overpriced, then even worse a 0.001% chance of some massive item, with the rest being worse than something you could get off a noob mob
