$1350 for the iPhone X 256gb with apple care. Yikes on apple upgrade. But you save a $1 than when you buy it out right plus apple car.

Wow I've never seen so many negative comments on a new IPhone, especially one that Apple is going to push hard due to the pricing...Anyway my thoughts:

1)Looks like a beta device to me
2)Face ID seems slower than Touch ID, no thanks
3)That notch, ughhh no thanks

It looks like I'm not the only one underwhelmed. Plus, I can't get my head around paying over $1000 for a phone. A PHONE! As much as I dislike the Android operating system I do like some of the phones. I guess I will have to take a second look at them...

X is awesome. Probably not getting one. IT's a lot of $$$$. But definitely makes 8 look dated.

Handing it over to someone like my wife or son to use perhaps.....

Idiots are going to crash cars to trying to unlock their phone....
Good point... also hard to be discrete when just peeking at phone in certain situations. Notch doesn't bother me and can be fixed in software. (use it for controls like touchbar). Face stuff is cool but touch should have been implemented.

The lack of showmanship with this crew is astounding. This was the big one. How do you manage to make this one boring?

Phil Schiller is death at these things consistently, but the rest of them were terrible too.. Tim Cook was the only one with a couple flashes of being interesting to watch.

The whole thing made me miss Steve so much.

I don't understand what Apple was thinking with the launch of the iPhone 8 and 8S. should've just gone with the X. I wish we could bring Steve Jobs back because innovation has has been despicable since Tim Cook took over.
Don't have enough displays. Plus this way gets the A11 chip out there, along with pad charging. Fairly simple to understand really.

What are the physical dimensions of the iPhone X?

Will developers have to re-write all their apps that leveraged Touch ID for Face ID? Two versions of their apps?

It's really too bad. Instead of TouchID being implemented into the display, they are raving about Plan B Face ID, and animated emojis and snapchat. Ugh.
Why? It looks slow now, but it is the way to go. More and more improvements will come. I think it is an exciting future.

Anyway I think Apple will keep touch id in their devices for a long time.
Also identical twins cannot use face id as their Authentication measure anyway.

Yeah, the iPhone X is pretty underwhelming to be honest. And as someone who has used Windows Phone for the last 1/2 decade, I really don't see things like "swipe up to unlock" to be revolutionary. In fact, I find the touch to wake to be more of a pain than a good thing.
You are gaining a lot of experience ... according to your footer

Happy with everything I saw. Screen and performance will be very impressive. Face ID looks like it's a great solution and they took the steps needed to make it secure. I like the gestures they are introducing as well. My only disappointment is 64GB as the entry and the November release.
