There still should be a discrete way of unlocking your phone. If your are at a play or in a meeting, using FaceID may not be ideal
Just use the unlock PIN?

My thought, too. Maybe you can doubble tap on lower screen area to archive same effect as currently on home button? or simply swipe down (gesture) in lower screen area – or 3D touch-down-press-while-swipe-down-area-AND-face-ID … : DAm I the only one who doesn't like how the new gestures for the iPhone X work? I mean, I like to access Control Centre from the bottom, not from the top. And with that size, is almost impossible to operate it with one hand...
No. I was going to buy it. Now I'll be saving that money for next years model that I'm sure will not look like the ugliest phone ever and be will remembered as the ugliest phone Apple ever created. Thanks!for me a great phone. all the haters here: you gonna buy it anyway. you guys are the first who stands in line![]()
Yes, me too. A test is worth a 1000 theories.I would be very surprised if the FaceID team neglected sunglasses and glasses which become darker in sunlight.
The animated emojis are incredible and look so much fun.
Is IS super symmetric: if you mirror vertically... top notch! Don't know what you are complaining about. My thoughts exactly. I love everything about it except that. I'm a symmetry freak, so I think that's what it is.
Exactly my thoughts. I can think of hundreds of situations where this wouldn't be ideal or work at all. In the dark, sunglasses, shave my beard, laying on a table etc etc. I'm going to stick with iPhone 8 (from 6s) and then reconsider Apple in general after a few yearsOoops. Craig fumbled that one. I could see Face ID annoying people=having to hold it a certain way.
I should not have gotten those Transition lenses in my new pair of glasses.I would be very surprised if the FaceID team neglected sunglasses and glasses which become darker in sunlight.
You would be surprised. Worked at Apple for a few years, lots of people buy them outright in cash, sometimes even multiple.
So when does the iPhone SE get a refresh? Because I have no interest in a 5.8" monster cell phone. Even the 4.7" [6, 7, & 8] are too big to hold in, rather than on, my hand. I was hoping they'd give a nod to the small phone legion, but I'm glad I didn't hold my breath. *sigh*
Have you not tried to unlock your TouchID phone with wet fingers, gloves on, or with a dusting of flour after baking? There are plenty of scenarios where TouchID fails and FaceID would be far superior.Apple decides SUNGLASSES don't exist.

That's what I always thought and of course you have some people who have a "curious" twin as referenced in the introduction.I also call BS on their claim a face is more unique than a finger print, how often do hear I seen someone that looks just like you.
I have always thought finger prints are all different
