+ lots of people (me included) have glasses that auto-darken in sunlight.

No chance of Face ID causing any disruptions in a movie theater.

I only want to know is how will 3rd party apps handle the Notch. Will Netflix be able to make video render in the proper aspect ratio to how the movie was made? Or will Apple force them to incorporate the Notch and the curves at the bottom? I would think Apple would let the developers decide?

Face ID was slower than Touch ID. Also seems that the iPhones are directed towards Chinese users as China reigned in demos.

No more unlocking the device while it is resting on my desk. Face Id seems to take more work to unlock the phone as well. Look and phone and then swipe up to get to the home screen. Liked touch id better.

It's interesting how both Apple and Microsoft skipped 9. (iphone 9, windows 9) Is there a reason for this other than seven ate* nine?

So for a mere $200 premium over the 8+, you can turn your face into an animated pile of poo. Would have been more impressed if the X stood alone and there were no 8/8+.

Samsung didn't skip 7. They skipped 6 due to the iPhone 7 last year.

I'm saying no to the notch. Won't be purchasing.

The bezel should have been enlarged at the top, without the notch inside the screen.

How slippery will it be? It's a shame most of them will be in cases.

So when he first picked up the iPhone X it failed to unlock for him, then he tried again, failed again. Then he put that phone down and tried another which unlocked but it wasn't as fast as TouchID, not even close.

Dreadful. I often buy new iPhones that have big new features. iPhone 3GS, 4S, 5, 6 and 7 I purchased. But this? It's not even about price I don't care about it being $1000+. This iPhone just feels half baked. The really crappy looking camera bump that bad top notch above the screen.. and the janky Face ID.

I'm sure it'll still sell out, I'm probably in the minority with my thoughts like most of the time lol but for me this is a swing and a miss.

They skipped 6 so all their flagships were "version 7", not because of what Apple was doing.

I know!!! I couldn't believe that video has a huge notch in it. That would irritate my OCD.

they better make it so the huge notch isn't in the videos.. basically make it a straight line after.

    Oh come on...
    6s was a rehash of 6...
7 wasn't really much of an update...
At least they had 2 phones this year

I couldn't care any less about any product Apple have released as I do about this one. Apple you released a sparkly new phone, and so has everyone else. Think different, my ass!
